We are almost out of time for this month! I have been sitting on a pending order for over four weeks. I wonder why Mark is playing the Grinch this Christmas season? I thought there might be double coupons for the holidays but instead all we got was a lump of coal! lol

Everything is showing up as "on order" at the DVD Planet site right now, meaning Google Checkout is useless.

Also, I was wondering if a Frequent Buyer Points update has been done lately because I had an order ship four weeks ago that hasn't been reflected in my points.

Thanks for the good news! However, when I tried to use the three coupon codes for "new" DVD purchases tonight, I received the following message: "The coupon that you entered has expired." Perhaps the coupons are not effective until January 1, or the coupon switch was not turned on at DVD Planet! I'll try again on January 1 to see if the situation changes for the better. Happy New Year everyone!

Any idea when you will have "Clerks 2" HD DVD up for preorder? Comes out 1/16.

Glad I stumbled upon your post saying you had the same issue (and not even fixed after nearly 2 days at the least). I was saving a couple of titles (Red, Blue and I'm Not Scared) until after Christmas for a Google Checkout purchase but am now unable to order them.

Guess they decided to just list every title as on order rather than deal with people complaining that an in stock order didn't technically ship within the time frame listed due to the holidays. They probably overlooked how that would affect Google Checkout orders which I'll now place at DVDEmpire.

Happened to me also. I was out of town for a few days and hoping to get those last few orders in. Lame.

The coupon codes don't work for me, either.

Is there a start date as well as an expiration date?

No start date on the coupons but my guess is that they should be activated on the first business day of this month. I assume that's tomorrow although because of Pres. Ford's funeral tomorrow is another holiday for government agencies, etc. including the postal service from what I heard. My shipping invoice was sent on 12/23 and the reverse side where the coupons are listed is a new printing and format as all the previous orders I received listed pre-order titles from way back in March.

Well, it's tomorrow or never, because there's one DVD in my cart that I need before the Spring semester starts.

Crossing my fingers the coupon works tomorrow . . .

They still don't work. Curious.

Oh, well. I need to order these now anyway. So much for saving $10.

Is it possible to call in an order and then ask them to apply the coupon codes? They should be accepted from the start of the new month.

I talked to a girl and she said they won't be active for a couple of weeks because of what happened in Dec.

What the hell? I hope that isn't true. Was she talking about the Google Checkout $10 off $30 they ran? I don't see why that would matter, but its the only thing I can think of that "happened" in December.

Still waiting for a bunch of points to accrue from a few months back and they haven't updated their Blu-ray and HD DVD listings in a while. They are even missing a few titles that have already been released.

It makes no sense. They send out the coupon codes on the back of any invoice as of late December (my ship date) and don't list a start date AND don't want to accept them?
The Grinch must be in charge.

Any chance of DVD Planet getting METALLICA-VIDEOS 1989-2004?

PREJAN2007..............$10 off $125 Order
SNOWMAN2007..........$7 off $75 Order
JANUARY2007............$5 off $60 Order
JANUARYUSED2007......10% off $50 Used Order
These numbers don't even make sense. If you do $5 off $60 twice you get $10 off $120 which is a better deal than their supposed 'best' deal. What the heck?

Coupons are limited to one use each, so you wouldn't be able to use the $5 off of $60 code twice.

Mark,

Could you please add Stargate Atlantis Season 2, Venture Bros Season 2, Teen Titans Season 3 and The Batman Season 3 to your list of titles available for pre-order?

These are availble at your sister company... so hopefully they won't be a problem to add?

Thanks!

Wow! Talk about timing... I just checked my email account associated with DVD Planet and found that they have updated the FBC points and also sent the coupon codes that Mosskeeto mentioned above. Hopefully, they're working now.

A big thank you!

The "7 off 75" coupon just worked for me (for Criterion Mouchette and Monsters and Madmen).

Yep, they finally got all our Frequent Buyer Points up to date, and the coupons seem to be working.

Now if they would only get to adding all of the missing Blu-ray and HD DVD titles that would be awesome.
