Spent a lot during the last sale but outside perhaps a few cheap titles, I'm not spending too much this time around...

Just wanted to let everyone know that i will be doing a 3rd "Pick $50 worth of DVD's from DDD and win a prize!" Contest. I'll probably start it on Sunday or Monday. I've already got the prize pretty much decided but i'll adapt it to the winner. Hopefully Cameron and Space Monkey can come and defend their crowns. Anyone unfamiliar with this contest check out the link below.

So I checked all 25 titles I have been tracking in consideration of getting during this sale - a mix of TV and movie selections. 7 or 8 are lower than a week or two ago, totalling maybe 7 or 8 dollars. Only one is higher, and that is The Simpson's 8th season. I will be skipping that one, but the rest are still good to go.

Check my wish list earlier, several were increased in price (LOST S2, Scrubs S4, Simpsons S8), just checked again those same titles went back to the lower prices.

So now I am left with ZERO selections that have gone up prior to the sale, and several that have come down.

People should expect titles like The Little Mermaid and X-Men 3 to get raised. I mean these titles were released weeks ago and were still at release week pricing. The fact that release week pricing went on for a few extra weeks doesn't mean raising the price back to normal for this sale is an conspiracy. It's just common sense.

Of course let's also remember that (if I'm not mistaken) The Prisoner megaset usually shows up in a lot of the A&E sales both at DDD and A&E.com, so there might be a better price than $67.20 coming up.

Will it even matter if you make one large order or several small orders?

chowchris13: Yes, shipping to Canada is $5.95 for any shipment. You will get hit with $5 fee plus GST & PST if any order is over $20CAN. So add up the customs fee and shipping on a bunch of orders and it eats into the savings.
Spread the extra $5 fee and $5.95 shipping over one large order and the total will be way less than any seller in Canada and also no French on the cases. Compare even with DDD.ca and the prices are way lower at DDD.com.
One final point, my orders from the US are taking 3 to 5 weeks to arrive. All the customs guys are watching the Porn they confiscate so the backlog even before the rush season is longer than I've ever known it. Don't get excited if it's a long delay before it shows, it's not DDD's fault. It's just Canadian non tariff barriers, designed to slow trade by individuals with the USA.
