I don't know the specifics for this release, but it will probably be the original 6 DVDs in their keepcases with a box. The Kiddy Grade Box Set is the four 2 disc File Collections in a Collector's Box and the Gunslinger Girl Box Set is the original 3 DVDs in an artbox.

I noticed you added the single Geneon dvd i mentioned. Basically from what i saw, their ENTIRE stock of Geneon single dvds were $15 and Volume X + art-boxes were $20. So it might be better to put that all of them are $15 rather than listing every single title (since the B&M selection is going to vary most likely).

Found Grenadier Premium Collection at FYE.COM...(since a lot of you have mentioned...i think...that its B&M only) and its $0.01 shy of free shipping over $25 (go HERE to activate free shipping over $25)...but you can find a CHEAP filler like THIS ...and the total should come out to be $27.26 (you save $5.96 on shipping!) so its an awesome deal for a box set with MSRP like $50!

EDIT: And EVEN BETTER...they cancelled my order of the CD but they're still planning on sending me my grenadier (*knocks on wood*) complete collection...so even better

The downside to ordering from fye.com, though is that you can't use the Backstage pass card if you have one (10% off).

i have a feeling it'll be more like the Tenchi/Kiddy Grade/Spiral sets. 3 cases, with 2 discs per case. Since it's 6 discs, it'll be easier to do that way. Gunslinger was done that way it was because it is just a natural short series. So since they'll probably do it that way, the extras and everything will be the same since it'll just be the same discs , the only thing new will the the artwork for the cases

I guess it's good for us since the stuff is more likely to be available in store, but it's just strange, IMO.
Let's say that they do read this forum. What would you want them to do different or change? What would the top three changes / suggestions be?

I say:

Post price changes when the price drops.
They all could have better CS.
Have better staff that is more knowledgable about Anime in general.

Most of the time I get the strange looks when I ask for a title I can't find on the shelf. I hate that!!

Maybe if they did we could send a message or make a point.

I don't really know. I've had very mixed experiences w/ BB, and I doubt even if they read this that it would make that much of a difference (read: no difference). I just go there for the cheap stuff and try to avoid it otherwise.

Updated & going to bed.

Picked up Fighting Spirit vol 12 for $14.99 at my local Suncoast to fill up the gap from my Rightstuf Geneon sale. Also saw vol 14 as well, but that one is on "sale" for $24.99

Yea, there seems to be some kind of fine print to this. Im noticing on FYE's site that a whole bunch of Volume 1's without boxes are normal priced while the later volumes are 50% off. Doesnt make much sense to me (i can at least understand not discounting the new stuff)

Someone at AOD has posted that "...Best Buy is starting up an in-store promotion for Geneon anime DVD and boxset releases starting today, November 6th. They’re offering an instant rebate of $10 dollars when you buy any 2 Geneon DVD titles."

Don't think this has been mentioned but I saw the Street Fighter II V Collection (4 disc set) for $19.96 at Wal-Mart last week. It was in with all of the $19.96 Fox TV boxsets. I've watched it before and it's surprisingly well done, considering it's based off of a fighting game.

If someone can confirm this, than I think a trip back to BB to PM themselves will be in order

It's confirmed at my local store. Here is the fine print of the promotion. "Promotion offer does not include Signature Series, UMD or Cinema Deluxe Titles. Must be purchased on same receipt. Excludes prior purchase & special order, clearance, demo and open box items. See a customer specialist for details."

There are some Geneon titles that have a red bar that goes across the top and side saying "Signature Series" - they are just cheaper editions of the originals, same content, just different cover. UMDs are for PSPs. And I dunno what that Deluxe thing is all about.

For those interested, it looks like buy.com has Steam Detectives complete collection back in stock for ~$25 and it's the last day for the $10 off $30 Google Checkout coupon...

WTK, I don't think the Omega Code Collection is anime.
I took out the AMG V3 from the table.

I was browsing around the FYE site and came across another decent deal-

Midori Days-Handheld Collection(not the Premium Box) for $17.49.
