I beleive the same rules as DisneyDVDFan said only Albertsons. Seems like a nobrainer to me if your already going to eat the food why not get two movies free while your at it!
By the way last year it was 100.00 worth of food.

Yeah you do have to have a rewards card which is free and you use it , it will show you the total at the bottom of the reciept. When you have enough it will then print a coupon good only at Albertsons.

These deals at Albertsons are great. I've never done a DVD one, but whenever they have movie tickets I'm all over it. Last time it came around I was working overnight crews at my job and was in charge of buying snacks and soda for the crew of about 10 people. Lets just say we ate alot of Doritoes and Pepsi Products.

This is the key point, folks! I've done several of their dvd deals in the past, and many times, it's simply been $x.xx worth of purchases within a specified time period. This time, they're not only setting monetary and time parameters, they're also setting item specifications! You should be able to get the information from Albertsons.com, by going through their weekly ad viewer. I'll be snagging an extra copy of Cars through this particular promotion!

Odd... this is the first time I've seen them as item specific.... before, we've always had the promos as "buy $x.xx worth of groceries, get this..." . Either way, though, I'm still in, since I shop there regularly anyway!

funny the rules as Ive always known them were (until now) 100.00 worth of specific items, now its 75.00.
And Ive done these promos for the last 2 years, I wonder if its differant for some states?

I did this last year (I'm in SF Bay area) to get Madigascar as I recall. It was a certain list of food items and $75 worth. I remember because the system would not get my totals right and I had to call Alb's customer service line many times.
Luckily, I got a really nice CSR who gave me her direct extension so all I had to do is call her, go over what I bought on that receipt, she'd verify then modify the total qualified $'s. She also gave me extra credit, probably about $10 worth for my hassle. Stacking coupons, I think I probably only spent about $50 out of pocket.
This time around, it seems like the system is better since it's caught all of the qualified purchases.
The easy stuff was the 10 for $10 stuff like boxed potatoes, Chex Mix, Progresso veg classics. Other good items that qualified were the Alb brand sodas (3-12pks/$5), Village Market frozen chic breasts ($8/4lbs), Powerade (79cents), limited varieties of Kelloggs cereal (also 3/$5 plus there a coupons around). Stouffers red box (5/$10) was ok if you had coupons but I don't know if any are still valid.
Note that the majority of stuff I mentioned above went off sale yesterday (sorry for the late post). There's no mention of the deal in this week's ad but some of the things from last week are still on sale IIRC but not a lot.
So after all of that buying frenzy from last week, I'm only $6 away from $75. I'll just wait for another sale on the qualified items and finish off the promo.

So who exactly did you contact and what did they do about it? right now Im having this same issue for the first time, and Ive done all of these promos. The item in question is Coke products.
