The Seven Samurai (new one) was $32.99 (IIRC) when the Google promotion started, then went up $4 to $36.99. Now it is at $38.94.
I noticed that several title increased dramatically. I went to buy That 70's season 4. Went from around $34 up to $41.

Had 2 orders canceled today by DVDEmpire. The reason was that the stupid $1.50 filler item I picked to get me over $30 was found to be "discontinued" in spite of the fact that it was listed as "in stock" when I placed the orders.

This caused the new total to be under $30. So instead of honoring the remainder of the order and relaxing the requirement for $30 + 3 items, they cancelled each entire order.

Thanks DVDEmpire, now you suck too.

Anybody know the deal with pre-orders at buy.com and google checkout? The $10 off deal ends at 6pm PST on 11/6. There is a book I want that is released on 11/7. Will Google become enabled before 11/7, or am I screwed?

I hope that you did not think that I was busting your balls with my post because that was not my intention. I was just lamenting that I didn't get in on those Masters of Horror DVDs for a $1.50 a pop(that would have been sweet). You should contact a moderator to find out why you cannot start a new thread.

I don't think that's it. I just tried slithers as a test...it's over $30 and the google option doesn't show up. I think they must be having problems with their site.

I noticed that they raised the price on the Star Wars Original Trilogy Limited Edition set from $35 to $42. I was going to buy it for $25, but at $32, I'm not sure now.

They did drop the price of Stargate SG-1 Season 9 back to $34.97, so it's a fairly good deal (not like the great one at Fry's recently) at $24.97.

I couldn't believe it when I noticed they had raised the price of Justice League Season 2 to over $40!!

Yeah... they've jacked up prices on everything.

However, this is a good thing for me....because it keeps me from spending more money.

You might or might not be screwed. I've had them put something "in stock" a few days beforehand.

Cool, thanks. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I now read the google deal is good until 11:59pm PST on 11/6, so I definitely have a chance! They also lowered the price back down for my item after jacking it up...

I hope I'm wrong but as I was about to checkout with 2 DVDs at Buy, I noticed that the Google Checkout option and it's $10 off incentive is nowhere to be seen as a checkout option. Could someone else try?

It's not working for me now either at Buy.com, although it did before on two previous orders.

edit: After clicking on a link in an email about the extension of the coupon it showed up again for me, so perhaps it has something to do with cookies or something

Just to be clear, it seems the extention until 11/6 applies to Buy.com only. It's finished over on DVDEmpire.

buy.com claims to have the next two Doctor Who DVDs, The Hand of Fear and The Mark of the Rani, which supposedly come out on Tuesday, in stock. They're going for $22.07 each, but searching for some books should help some potential buyers to reach the $30 limit to take $10 off. $7.99 books fit the bill nicely...

Buy.com not only jacked up the price on everything, but also made unavailable coloring and sticker books which are handy as filler items and took away free shipping offer on many items that previously had it.

King Kong extended $20.57!

I'm not sure why, but Buy.com has changed the status of the November 14 release of the the three-disc extended cut of King Kong to free shipping/ships in 1 to 2 days. Even with the increased price, it ends up being cheaper than what it will be next week at DDD.com with the 20% off discount. I jumped on this.

If you have a Citibank card you can sign up with that and get $5.00 off your next Google Checkout order.

If everything comes though I just got a 2 Gig SD card for:

54.95
(-10.00) $10.00 promotion
(-5.00) Citibank promotion
(-25.00) Rebate on Card

Total $14.95

Linky

Is that the sort of card that would work with the Wii?

It's still there. Try reloading/refreshing your screen - sometimes the Google Checkout doesn't show up, but this usually fixes that.
