Good to hear. My daughter is sleeping with her Flounder doll right now.

Technically, the guide is a "flipper". One side has the cover of the DVD, and when you turn it over it has an ad for "Disney Movie Rewards".

Well from all the posts it sounds like BB needs to get their act straight. I should have thrown a fit..I bet they would have given it to me.

Lesson learned I guess.

I'll preorder Cars from Best Buy and get Little Mermaid for $9.99.
Just a heads up about LM - there's a $3 MIR from Francesco Rinaldi when you buy 2 jars of their pasta sauce - http://francescorinaldi.com/littlemermaidrebate.asp
That would make it $6.99! (plus 39 cents stamp and the price of the pasta suace obviously).
I did a similar deal with Dumbo and Eight Below - PM CC at BB for Eight Below ($13.69) and got Dumbo for $9.99 (BB deal). Then there were a $3 MIR for Eight Below (Ortega) and 2 $3 MIRs for Dumbo (peanuts and Francesco Rinaldi) making the total for both movies under $15! Actually got the last of those MIRs yesterday.
Anybody know of any other MIRs for LM? (apart from the instant coupon when bought with some juice)

Was able to get mine late last night with a Sebastian plushie, but was unable to use my boyish charm and good looks to get the cashier to throw in a Flounder plush.

Please post if you have success story getting the $5 discount from the Cars preorder to apply on the TLM /w one of the plushies. Was it correctly and automatically done by the register or it involved an overwrite?

I couldn't get the $5 discount for Cars at my Best Buy. I was told it wasn't on a DVD that I bought today, but on Cars when I picked it up (Even though thats what the preorder card says). Which basically makes it pointless since Best Buy will have plenty of Cars for sale on Nov. 7th.

You know, if you want both plushies, buying two copies of The Little Mermaid wouldn't kill you. Since the plushies themselves ring up for $10, you could just say the second DVD is going to be a $5 gift for someone. Or if Mermaid is going to be pulled like Lion King and Beauty and the Beast were, that second DVD will get you all your money back on Ebay someday.

All worked out fine for me. The cashier didn't know how to do the preorder, so she asked a manager. The first thing he told her was that the $5 discount on TLM wouldn't be deducted automatically, so she had to enter it manually. I have a receipt for TLM at $9.99, a preorder of Cars for $5, and a surprisingly nice Sebastian.

I got TLM with the Flounder plush on release day, and the Cars preorder looks like it came up as free, so I hope that's what was supposed to happen.

My experience on Tuesday to pickup two copies of TLM was kinda fun - Went to Best Buy (Chicago, IL). Bought two copies - picked up one of each plush - the cashier asked what are the two copies for? Told her that my wife is expecting twins girls this December (true!!) and that my mom would like to have a copy at her home while she's watching them later.

The cashier then dropped in two more plushes (one of each)- "so the girls won't be fighting over the plushes". I was perplexed. A very nice cashier - for once!! At Best Buy!

That action has made up for so many wrong things that BB has done to me personally!!

Hope everyone else has a great time in getting the plushes!!

Thanks!

So this is what balances the world with my evil cashier who didn't give me a plush with the gift set, leaving me to buy a gift set and two extra copies of TLM in order to have only two plushies.

My luck is the worst in the world.

I found The Little Mermaid in my Amazon Gold Box today for $14.13. Didn't check to see if the A9 discount would reduce it further.

I bought the Best Buy Giftset on Tuesday. I used the Cars pre-order to get $5 off and I also got a flounder plushie for free. I had no problems at all. The cashier had to manually take the $5 discount off for the cars pre-order though.

Ordered mine from bestbuy.com this morning. Chose to have it shipped for $1.79. Both plushies are still available and you can get the plushies with the gift set. Didn't try for the Cars pre-order. If your bb is out of plushes or hastling you about giving the plushes and gift set, order online and have it shipped (but do it before midnight tonight or it will probably be gone).

If you are interested in the movie and your store is out of the plush animals but don't want to pay shipping, (which is very reasonable IMHO) you can order the movie for in store pickup but have the plush shipped for free. My local store is out of the plush but they are sending me a sebastian. You can also preorder cars with the 5.00 off disney movie as well.

Damn, just got it yesterday, very glad I did. Just finished it, forgot how good it was...hadn't seen it in years.

Now on to the bonus features, and then the other Platinums!
