Sam's Club Deals

I was in there today and saw that they had the two-disc Seabiscuit for 11.88 and the 2-disc Texas Chainsaw Massacre (new one) for 4.88.

Yes, it's the 2-disc platinum of the 2003 remake. Saw it as well today.

Some of the other $4.88 dvd's I saw.

Blade II(2 disc)
Jason Goes To Hell
Jason X
Freddy vs. Jason
Nightmare On Elm St. 2-5
Critters
Poltergeist
Gremlins 2

Tons of assorted movies between 5-10 bucks.

For the classic fan, I was in Sam's last night and picked up the 12-disc "Essential Charlie Chaplin Collection" for $20. I had seen it a couple of weeks ago at the same price and there is no other price crossed off on it so I believe it is the normal price.

Less than 5 bucks for the 2-disc TCM is a steal. Especially if it still comes with the steel plate.

I think you can apply (around $30 I guess) then if you are not satisfied for the next 30 days, you can have it full refund..

Jessica Biel running around in a dirty tanktop for nearly 2 hours=well worth $4.88.

Sam's Club membership just went up this year to $40.

But it's worth it if you buy enough stuff in the course of a year.

GOD yes! Halleluja brother!

Actually, the film is pretty damn good as remakes go also. So it's a win/win situation with this one.

What's frustrating about this is I paid waaaay more for both Seabiscuit and Texas Chainsaw. Both of these are two disc sets that were released with less expensive one disc editions the latter of which were on sale on release day. Because I'm a fiend for extras, I got the expensive 2 disc set that was not on sale. Inevitably it's always the two disc set that I didn't buy that never goes down in price or goes OOP.

I can help you out with actually. I ran up there a couple of days ago after seeing this thread to pick up freddy vs. jason and saw the TCM remake with metal plates and thought hey I never bought that and must have it for that price. Anyway long story short got home and saw that I did have it already so I was going to return it today but drop me an e-mail and i can send it your way instead. Happy to help you out.

I picked up Seabiscuit.

When I went to pick it up, there was an older lady standing in the way. I waited until she moved, leaned in, said excuse me, and grabbed a copy. She looked at me, and goes: Seabiscuit?! I said, yup. I start to leave, and she says 'that about a horse?'. I said yup and kept leaving, she picked one up too.

just a heads up, I work at Sam's Club and when we were closing down tonight I noticed they had made tons of space for new dvd's on the shelves so Sams might be getting in another shipment of stuff in. I'll let you guys know if anything new pops up.

Just this afternoon, I picked up the following for $4.88 each:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2Disc Faceplate
Jason vs Freddy
Jason X
Jason Goes to Hell

... all for less than $21.00 including tax.

Thanks a ton!

They also have THE CHANGELING for $4.88; so far, I've managed to pass it up because I've never seen it, but I've heard a lot of good things about it, which will keep preying on my mind until I probably cave and get it mid-week.

Is anyone else hoping that Sam's is going to continue their tradition of selling WB boxes at very affordable prices and offer The Val Lewton Horror Collection this Halloween? Note, I'm not saying its out, just that I'm hoping it will be.
