Thanks Racer94, I received the pre-Python DVDs in great condition. It was really nice of you to go out of your way to find and send these to me. Living in a small town can certainly be disadvantageous when it comes to finding DVD deals. You made my day! :-)

I checked my local Big Lots in Northampton (MA), but of course there were none. Might check back this weekend since some people report that they are restocked randomly at random times. Anybody find these anywhere in New England?
If anyone have or could get extras of both and are willing to sell please email or PM me. Thanks in advance.

I 'd never been in a Big Lots store before, but I saw one in Brunswick, Maine this weekend and remembered this thread, so I stopped in and found a single copy of each set left on the shelf. Thanks to the OP for the heads up!

Northampton
I found both in the Northampton, MA, Big Lots about three weeks ago. They only had a couple of each, so it's not surprising they're gone. They told me a long time ago they restock the store on Wednesdays, so might be worth a look every so often.

Thanks also Racer94. I also received the pre-Python DVDs very fast and in great condition. It was really unexpected and nice of you to go out of your way to find these for others and send them out. Thanks!

Midwest City, OK Big Lots had one copy of the 1948 show last night (10/22) at 8 PM. I would have bought it for someone, but I'm going out of town in a few days (and frankly I'm just too lazy.)

Well, I've tried making these requests before but nobody has ever risen to the occasion so here goes nuthin!
I need a pair of these as well. My local Big Lots thinks Monty Python is a type of snake and they claim not to carry any "live animals". I honestly tried to explain to their CSR that it was a DVD and not a snake. Even if I WERE looking for an actual Python that it would be properly identified as a Suborder of Squamata, which is one of the four Orders of reptiles. While all snakes are superficially similar in body shape, they differ markedly in anatomy. In total there are roughly 2,500 species of snakes around the world. Snakes as a group are unusual in that every single species is carnivorous. They range in size from only 10 cm in length to over 10 m!
He seemed to lock up on that comment and fell over on his side with a thin blue line of smoke issuing from his right ear.
Will someone please help me to get this pair of DVD's? Please...........

It's not quite the deal that Big Lots has, but Oldies.com is offering each set for $5.95 (or as low as $5 if purchased with other budget priced DVDs). See:

and

Considering that these sets are going for $26.99 each at Amazon, this is still a good deal, though not as good as at Big Lots (if you can find them).

I'm gettin' in late on this conversation, but I've been holding out, hoping one of the three Big Lots here in Bakersfield, CA would get these. No luck and I want to ask before it's completely too late if someone can help me out with 1 of each title at the $2.99 price. You can e-mail me at: [email protected]. Thanks in advance.
