Well, I had to pull the trigger on my order tonight because I had the last available copy of Sugar Volume 2 in my cart. I highly doubt that this order will ship out before next week, so I'll keep an eye on things to see if I want to swap out some discs. Anywho, here's my order(FWIW)-

Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi Volume 1 with artbox
Hand Maid May 1-3(I almost got this for $30)
Jubei-Chan 2 1-4
Someday's Dreamers 1-3(with the artbox of course)
Stellvia 1-8
Sugar 1-6.

This better be it or I'll have to start looking for a night job.

Whew, man, I've been at this for hours. Shawne says there's a problem with a Tenchi volume (must be vol 2 non-SS) because when I took it out and replaced it with the SS, it went through.

I'm glad that's over... I was getting scared, AYA vol 2 is dropping really quick.

Bummed that AYA was added so late - it's the only other thing I want from the sale. But I really don't want to drop any more money, and anything else I'd be getting would just be filler stuff. So alas, I will have to let it go, and hopefully it'll come around again someday in the future for a decent price.

I did however request to change my Enishi DVDs to the box+figures. They haven't reached the shipping stage yet, so I'm hoping it's not too late. We'll see!

I would call them first thing tomorrow and request the swap. They should be able to tell you right then and there if they'll be able to do the swap. They open at 8 AM Central Standard Time and their phone number is 1-800-338-6827. Good luck.

Thanks! I was going to do that but their phonelines were closed. Figured I'd email them anyway and then follow-up in the morning.

Not when you KEEP putting it back in your Cart. I only did that because if you leave it idle in your cart long enough, it'll erase itself after like twenty minutes.

Anyone looking for vol. 1 + boxes, DVD Planet has a lot of used ones for cheap. I even managed to find Tokyo Underground Vol. 4, which is sold out over there. I've ordered several used discs from them and everything has always been in mint condition, so no worries if any of you are worried. I got the following with the 10% off $50 coupon (OCTUSED2006).

Last Exile Vol. 1 LE - $13.48
Gungrave Vol. 1 LE - $10.78
Tokyo Underground Vol. 4 - $8.08

They still have 1 Gungrave left, as well as a New Getter Robo box and some other stuff.

Even better, I found a copy of Transformers: The Movie for $8.98. I should be able to sell it off for a good $25-30 before the new version hits. Maybe I'll use that money to hunt down Star Ocean EX Vol. 2, the only other gap I'll have from the Geneon sale. *Edit* I guess I have Fighting Spirit Vol. 12, as well.

How do we pay for so many orders? Well personally, I used my credit card. It hardly ever gets brought out for ANYTHING lol. It's probably lonely! But since I'd just splurged a lot at Best Buy and with the B1G1F (for all of the GitS stuff) last month, I figured a sale this good was just too much to pass up and that it was a worthy "credit card" use.

Of course I had intended only to put in 2 orders originally lol. Ah well. Will tighten the belt for a couple of months and all will be well ^_^

Ahh, the wonders of "soft money". =P In my case, I just delved into funds that were allocated to other "entertainment purchases" (i.e. Wii).

In shipment news, this is why I love Rightstuf. In my third box that I received today it has:

Funimation Promo Disc: an episode of Kiddy Grade, Burst Angel, and 2 episodes of Samurai 7 (how freakin' cool!)
2 Coupons for $5 off vol 1 of Strawberry Marshmallow and Kamichu
A Tenchi GXP Promo card
FUNimation Update Catalog

^.^

Same here. I also used my credit card. I usually spend around $300+ on anime a month, so this wasn't too bad. $400 for 100 brand new disc can't be beat. Now, how to hide the credit card statement from my girlfriend.

I'm using my debit card for all of my purchases. I have a credit card (Discover), but I hate the idea of using money I don't have yet. I haven't used it in years and the last time I checked, I had a negative balance because the last time I paid was right before I received my cash back reward (a whopping $.66). I'd rather splurge now knowing I can build my bank account back up again eventually.

P.S. If anyone wants Fighting Spirit #11, it's only got 1 left so get it now! #13 has only 6 left!
EDIT: #11 is gone and #13 is down to 5 now!

So I was able to change my Enishi DVDs to the box+figure ones, and I understand that I will be bumped to the bottom of the queue for shipment. But does that mean I lose the DVDs that were reserved for my order? I guess I'm a little nervous, as some of my DVDs (like Hellsing 2 and Chobits 5) which were going to ship today (and then I altered my order) are no longer available for purchase. I should still get them though right? I'll just have to wait longer for my order to ship (which I certainly don't mind).

In regards to paying, I used my credit card. Granted I only got 3 orders, but I thought I'd chime in.

I remember this being answered by Shawne over at AnimeonDVD, and you should still get your DVDs. It's only the shipping time that will bump down, not the actual order.
