DDD: Tales From the Crypt sets up to 50% off

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but if it has I missed it. for the next four days, DDD is running a sale on all four seasons of the Tales From the Crypt series, though only the second and third seasons are a great deal, at 50% off.

Awesome deal.

Too bad S4 is the only one I need, and doesn't have the price drop

You guys need to check out the Best Buy and Amazon threads more often. Best Buy and Amazon had these sets for $17.99 and $17.97 each, respectively, just last week. The DDD deal now appears to be the best one currently available.

BTW, thanks for the post domino and to the board.

Picked up 2 & 3 at Best Buy last week.

Held out on a better deal for 1 and 4.

It's an anthology, so I can watch them in any order. And I already saw most of the episodes on HBO anyway.

Season 1 should be no more than 15 bucks in my opinion. It only has 6 damn episodes. They're good episodes but only 6.

Yeah, but that hour long TFTC documentary on there with interviews with Carpenter, Romero, etc. is well worth the extra money IMO, considering it used to be on DVD on its own for $30.

Damn, why isn't season 4 half off!! $%#!

Forgot about that. I guess it was worth what I paid when it came out.

I picked up Season 1 at Walmart weeks ago since it has been $19.99 there for a while now. I picked up season 2-3 at CC for $17.99. It would be nice if DDD would have Season 4 on sale, but otherwise I'll just wait. Probably will be on sale anyway in October when the fifth season is released.

For seasons two and three, how many episodes are there?

And was this a 30-minute or hour-long show?

Well... had been looking at Amazon's website and it says one hour episodes (probably 40 or 41 minutes) though I'm not sure on this because the total length is said to be 486 minutes long. 18 episodes x 42 minutes = 756 minutes.

Anyway...

Season 2: 18 episodes
Season 3: 14 episodes

The episodes run anywhere from 22 minutes to the longest one i've seen yet, Yellow, which runs something like 35 minutes. If I had to put an average on the length I would say about 25 minutes per episode.

Season 1 = 6 Episodes
Season 2 = 18 Episodes
Season 3 = 14 Episodes
Season 4 = 14 Episodes

I went ahead and picked up S 1-3. For 20 bucks a pop, I took the bait. Held off on S 4-5. I can wait on those. Thanks A LOT for mentioning this was the last day, and thanks to the original poster.

I scored seasons 1-3 at BB after the recent price drop. I have to say though -- the way studios seem to always putting out these "complete series" sets now is making me hold off on buying any season set unless its an excellent price.
