I have e-mailed DDD twice to tell them that a title I was interested in is listed with the correct picture, and comes up when searching the correct title; however, its listed with a different item description altogether. Christi Taylor's Funktional Fitness is listed as Piano Secret Love. Its the weirdest thing. They still haven't fixed it.

I have the same question. I entered the UPC that DDD is showing into DVD profiler, and it ended up showing the new Universal version. I just want to make sure that it really is before I order it. Antother thing, if you look at the cover DDD is showing, it really isn't the cover of the old version, the title "Repo Man" is in a different place than on the old version.

Is there any special reason why people place multiple orders? Is it because you think of items to add later? Just wondering.

This is definately one reason. Another is that people want to order some stuff at the beginning of the sale (to get it out of the warehouse before things get too hectic), and then place another order on or after Tuesday for this week's new releases.

OK, this is my first post on DVDTalk (from the consumate lurker), but I just had to come out of the wood-work for this one. I live in Canada, Calgary to be exact, and was extremely impressed with DeepDiscountDVD. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for an order to pass customs etc. with excess customs duties added on to what we have to pay. However, this time they shipped UPS overnight and I got the order within 24 hours and ONLY had to pay the federal taxes, without other related fees. So, after all of the complaints I have seen about poor shipping from DDD, I have to speak out to the contrary.

Including the exchange rate and shipping charges, this sale is a knockout deal for those of us in the Great White North (with the currently decent exchange rate). Typically we pay about 30%-50% more on list price items up here (before taxes), including the DDD.ca site. But, I am being longwinded...

With the order here so quickly, I am very tempted - against my better judgement - to make another order.

Here is the first order, if anyone is interested in my peculiar tastes.

INVISIBLE MAN-THE LEGACY COLLECTION IN PROCESS 1 $17.56

Another good reason for multiple orders is that you're less likely to have physical damage to DVD packaging when its not in one heavy big box. Multi-disk sets in cardboard boxes are particularly vulnerable to "crumpling", especially when they're situated in a corner position of the box. I think postal workers sometimes see this big heavy box and toss it around and pile stuff on it like it was a piece of brick or something, giving no thought to the contents.

Has anyone looked for, or been able to find, the P.J. Harvey dvd that was released May 23rd called PJ Harvey On Tour - Please Leave Quietly?

Also can't find Bauhaus - Gotham.

My first order was stuff I knew I wanted and they were all in-stock. I had to wait on my second order until Tuesday, as Cemetery Man didn't come out til then, and I wanted the discount on that. I didn't plan on having a third order, but I forgot to order it earlier. I'm not paying shipping fees at all, so it costs me the same thing no matter how many orders I make.

81 bucks for 1 season of STNG that seems really high. Almost makes you want to buy the whole collection and sell off the ones you don't have.

Another reason, is that some people order gifts, like I did for Father's day and the order needs to go to a different shipping address.

But 29.99 - 20% is $23.99 so DDD is already cheaper.

We made multiple orders because I was putting some on my credit card and using my debit card for the rest.

etrnlevol, hope yours arrived, too!
Yep My order arrived today via USPS Priority Mail. I too prefer that method over UPS so I'm happy. That would certainly explain why the UPS tracking number doesn't work. Kind of funny that there is a UPS label underneath the Priority one. It's all good though.

Glad to hear you got your order as well!

I would say that is the number 1 reason.
Plus there are so many codes to use.
If you place multiple orders it seems like it does not cost as much.
