This left me speechless for a few minutes. DO NOT WATCH THESE (A L I E N & ALIENS) DURING THE DAY. All lights MUST to be off, your surround cranked, home phone off the hook, cell phone turned off, and your spouse or significant other must be fast asleep (Don't want him/her to bug you during the show) due to the sleeping pills you spiked his/her drink with. I hope you have a big HDTV and a good sound system. If not, wait to watch them until you do. Hell, you've waited this long...It will be worth it. God, I would love to be you, to experience these two films for the first time again!

Edit: Oh yeah, watch the original version of A L I E N first, not the directors cut. I don't care what anyone says, the directors cut kills the pacing. But watch the extended version of ALIENS before the theatrical.

LOL! I don't know, I think they both are shitty! Alien 3 gets a bad rap though, it is a good film.

I hated Alien 3, but liked AvP.

As for the Herzog/Kinski set, I read somewhere that it was limited to 5,000. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Yeah. AvP. That never happened, either. Maybe I'll give Alien4 a try again sometime.... but I don't know. My preferred method of crappy movies is to erase them from my mind. Burton's Planet of the Apes? That was never made in my eyes.

Going against the grain here, but this is just my opinion... Buffy has some brilliant writing and some terrific moments, but seasons 6 and 7 were an abomination to me. Season 1 wasn't great, but it was a watchable, shaky start that gave rise to some great episodes. I actually would have preferred it if the show ended after seasons 3 or 5 and we could all just assume everything went to plan after that. The last two seasons have some questionable character development and motivation, the usual Joss Whedon habit of keeping irritating and awful characters around for no reason, and with the exception of the musical, I would love to pretend most of the episodes didn't happen.

So... overall, Buffy has many more episodes, and therefore many more terrific episodes, but Dead Zone is consistently good throughout, while seasons 1, 6, and 7 of Buffy are painful for some fans to watch.

If you twisted my arm, I'd say Buffy, but that answer comes with a huge but...

I don't think there's anything on there that doesn't require assembly. It'd be kind of a pain to ship like that.

I believe there is are a few that dont require assembly...

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/redir...fier=LDE612C5D

There are 5 other versions of this that aer all FUlly Assembled according to the DDD site....a little expensive, BUT if you require no assembly there are a few options...

On another note if I amy ask a question about DDD packaging....my past 2 orders that I have recieved have come in "soft" plastic....I am so used to having the "hard" plastic from stores, Amazon, BN....Just wondering if this is the norm from DDD. In one of my Stargate sets it almost seems that the checked the discs and one of them when put back in backwards......all the discs seem OK but I havent opened any of them yet to make sure......Just havent seen the "soft" plastic packaging when I have ordered DVDs before form online.....It seems OK but it feels like it wouldnt protect that well (tears VERY easily (most of my dvds are NOT completely sealed) LOL!!!!!! this is NOT a rant just a question on the differences in packaging....I ahve been VERY happy with DDD and the deals they have given me cant wait untill the next big sale THank you to anyone who can give me some insight on this I do appreciate it.

What does "NEWPRICE" mean under "Status"?

I am getting worried. It says that under Alien: Quadrilogy, and it says it's going to ship on 6/26

But I want it shipped for 31.xx, I am wondering if "NEWPRICE" means it's going to go up after the sale is over.

I believe that means that the price has changed before the item is shipped aand that the NEW PRICE is what you will be paying still looks like it will be 31.89 with free shipping AFTER the discount......

Wow, I am scratching my head.

Not that I don't appreciate the help but that left me more confused.

MISSION MULTI MEDIA Cabinet

Thanks for the suggestion. Would appreciate any additional input on this option from anyone who has it -- is it good quality? Can it be locked?

Thanks again!

I ordered one of these, but haven't got it yet. I like that it is solid oak.

Reviews on other sites were generally positive.

Arg, this has to be the worst mistake DDD has made with me personally.
I ordered Star Trek: The Complete Series, which costs $200 bucks, and I got Star Trek V, a $10 movie.

Thanks a lot DDD!

Yeah, that's odd.

In my first order, I grabbed Babylon 5 seasons 1 & 2 for a friend. No "NEWPRICE" tag.

In my third order, I got seasons 1-5 for another friend. Now seasons 1, 2 and 5 have the "NEWPEICE" tag.

Ouch that hurts I owuld call them up, I have seen posts where mistakes have been made before and DDD ALWAYS comes through in the end.....Also check your invoice that came with your shipment and verify that what you ordered is what was on the shipment order.......Mistakes are bound to happen I mean they are probably overloaded with shipments and orders......

Empire Falls

I received my first order today and was shocked to see that "Empire Falls" looks like a tractor ran it over. Can anyone else speak to the poor condition of "Empire Falls?" Given that it is in a unique book-like case I'm not sure if this is a DDD error because they sat all of my other DVDs that shipped on top of it (thus causing the damage) or if it is a typical defect for this DVD.
