I think this is different from the ultimate edition, special ed supposedly has DTS and some features not present in ultimate edition.. but then again having one of these editions is enuff I suppose

I've also seen each of the Ultimate editions in the Walmart bin for 5:50 each.

I believe that's only II and III though. I've never seen the first one in there.

I'm in the middle of picking both of these up (got the Special Edition Trilogy tin a week or two ago from eBay for $25, and I'm ordering the Ultimate Edition on Thursday) since the S.E. has far better extras, but the U.E. has (allegedly) better transfers, without the missing subtitle problem that affected the S.E. of RAMBO III, as well as FIRST BLOOD's original ending.

Wow, I'm really surprised Amazon has those tins. I thought they went OOP about 6 months prior to the UE set coming out. That's a hell of a deal. Fans really should own both sets.

If you don't already have one of these sets you might as well wait for the UBER EDITION after part 4 (which is filming now) is going to be released...

To the best of my knowledge, ROCKY 6 is filming now, not RAMBO 4.

No, it's true.

Rambo 4 is Stallone's next film.

AFAIK, they just finished filming Rocky 6 and its now onto Rambo IV. Either way, you'll probably get a better set if you can wait.

Is this OOP metal case version better than the current Ultimate collection?

For one the old one has DTS...but is there any improvement in video, etc?
