Drawing Comics the Marvel way should be rad for 4.99

For someone who paid twice as much for it, allow me to say it stands up very well and I have no regrets paying $9.99 for it, so you're doubly safe at $4.99...but remember to bring your hanky when you watch it.

If you like classic Hammer check out CIRCUS OF HORRORS. If you've never seen it, ROAD GAMES with Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis is a pretty good horror film.

Yesterday I went through the $4.99 titles, and 99% of them I've never heard of, including Near Dark. I put it at the top of my list to check this morning, and if I had known Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen, and Jennette Goldstein were in it playing vampires, I would've ordered it last night. Now it's too expensive, so it's hasta la vista baby on this title. Too bad DDD couldn't have waited just another half day before they caught that error (as if I'd know what is or isn't an error). Unfortunately I can't spend all day every day doing nothing but researching DVDs I've never heard of. Things like that have to get saved until the weekend.

I guess all those price drops to $4.99 in another thread about DDD means that Soul Man should remain at $4.99 until the next 20% off sale?

Maybe its the single disc version for 4.99. Yes, there is a single disc version. Overstock had it listed as 2 disc and cheap at the time but sent out 1 disc version.

I expect the sudden sales increase for Near Dark (as that is what most people here seem to be ordering), motivated DDD to raise the price.

I can't believe Near Dark 2-Disc is only 4.99! I'd buy another one if the one I bought for $20 wasn't still sitting in the unwatched bin. I saw it on VHS when it first came out. Similary Shock,Parasite and Inferno have been sitting on the shelf for at least a year. The Boys Next Door is another good one. I saw on video 15 or 20 years ago and liked it a lot. I was thinking of renting it, but for $5, I might as well buy it.

I'm so glad I checked this thread again. I can say with certainty that when I saw the post saying Near Dark (2D) had been raised from $4.99 to over $10 this morning, I checked DDD (both by searching on Near Dark and by going through the $4.99 titles) and it was indeed $10.xx. Well, after seeing people post it's back to $4.99, sure enough it is. How strange that DDD raised the price and re-lowered it. I wonder if people complained and DDD relented or if it wasn't a price error.

This time I didn't let it get away, so I quickly ordered it along with Soul Man at $4.99 each. I probably should've saved Soul Man for the 20% off sale to get it for $4, but who knows which of these "price drops" are legitimate vs. errors. So Near Dark will be a blind buy, but the reviews on it make it sound like a good gamble for $4.99.

The DDD description says 2 DVDs for Near Dark, DVD-Basen only shows a 2 Disc edition in the reviews, and DVD Price Search only shows a 2 DVD edition, so I don't know where the 1 DVD edition can be found. I printed out the page on DDD, so they'd better not send a 1 DVD edition or cancel the order saying it was a misprice.

I can attest to it that it was raised. They lowered it back.

Not a good deal since it's only $4.99 new, but just something interesting.

While it seems a lot of these are indeed price drops (some, though not all, of the titles list at $9.99 at Amazon as well), the 50% pff still makes this a terrific deal.

Chances are they'll be up to $6.99 by the time the 10% off sale rolls around so I doubt you'll be getting a better deal then...and at least you'll have 'em now! :)

and look. You can sell your copy on that site for $1. What a ripoff.
