6.60 is better than 7 or 8 when you get free shipping regardless of how much you order, especially considering that some of these have yet to be released, but okay. I don't see how that makes anyone here gullible. Yes, gullible.

All About Eve
Don't Bother To Knock
I Wake Up Screaming
Murder Inc.
Boomering
House of Strangers

Annoying that Niagara isn't on the list- looks like its being re-released with no new special features and a different cover for $10.33.

Also, I would heartily recommend The Innocents- a fantastic film that should have gotten the Fox Classics treatment.

Both the Original Korean Version and the MTV Version are included on the DVD.

Well, since I ordered 6 titles during the recently-ended Paramount sale, I probably shouldn't discriminate against Fox () esecially with those pre-orders thrown into the sale.

Chris: I haven't been this confused since the ending of "No Way Out".
[Flashback to Chris & Brian coming out of a theater that's showing "No Way Out"]
Chris: How does Kevin Costner keep getting work?

I realize that the No Way Out offered in this sale is a totally different film, but I wanted to quote FG anyway.

I think it's kinda funny that DDD has had all these great sales throughout the year and people still expect the 20% off sale like it's a holiday. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have one, they have been more than generous already.

The 20% sales, which are advertised in the mainstream press, bring in new customers in a way that these smaller sales don't.

Great that they have pre-orders in the sale as there are quite a few i was going to pick up when they came out.

I'm ordering these from digital eyes, using a coupon i can get almost 10% more off the price and they have the same list of titles.

ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES
THE WORLD'S GREATEST LOVER

The only two Apes sequels I wanted plus an old favorite Gene Wilder flick.

Are these (as well as the Planet of the Apes that is on sale) the new releases? Also, do you know if they are anamorphic WS?
Thanks.

I don't suppose this is a coupon you can share?

Digital Eyes coupons

MAY2006 $5 OFF $60 ORDER
MOTHERMAYI $7 OFF $75 ORDER
PREMAY2006 $10 OFF $125 ORDER

Above expire on 06/01/06

This makes it an even greater deal. They seem to have more titles as well.

Oh hell, I'm not buying $60+ worth of merchandise to get 10% off budget titles...Jaymole's post inferred that the discount could be used for any order, regardless of cost (at least that's how I read it), so I'll pass on DigitalEyes.net and move my interests back to DDD...

I had the same question about the first film as part of this sale and unless I'm mistaken the box shown as part of the DDD sale is the OLD non-anamorphic version. I hope I'm wrong on this.

On the other hand it appears DDD only lists one version of the single disc first Apes film in addition to the previous two-disc set......

It would be great to confirm the first apes film as part of the sale is truly the anamorphic single disc version.

Planet of the Apes '68 (Old non-anamorphic version?) DDD listing

Planet of the Apes (Old non-anamorphic version) Amazon listing

Planet of the Apes (New anamorphic version) Amazon listing

(EDIT/FOLLOWUP)

Hmmm, it seems the artwork Amazon shows for the single disc anamorphic version differs from other online retailers so perhaps that isn't a good indicator. Unfortunately Amazon lists neither a UPC code nor a DVD release date either. It does seem more likely to me now that the DDD sale title is in fact the 2006 single disc version based on the UPC code (though I've been burned by that before). I can't find a listing for the old single disc non-anamorphic version with a UPC code.....

my local video stores are selling the new POTA for $7.99 - not the 1st one though.. covers look the same as the ones the DDD is selling. Wondering if it is cheaper to buy them this way, and hope for a sale of the 1st one, then buying the new legacy collection?
