Speedy, I'm not sure if you've done this, but I think you should report those emails to the mods of this site. There should be absolutely no reason why you or anyone else at this forum should take any kind of abuse like that. I'm truly sorry you had to deal with it and hope for your sake and ours that something like that never happens again.

Wow, I can't believe people would go after you for something as stupid as a typo. I assume you're too much of a class act to do this, but if it was me, I'd post a list of the email addresses of everyone who sent you hate mail, and allow the appreciative members of this forum to dish out a little internet justice.

I also would like to nod my appreciation for the time you put in to compile and list upcoming prices. Your efforts make it possible for most of us to determine what preorders we will make or what stores we will go to when we see the actual or even "best guess" price. The people who emailed you with complaints etc do not represent the majority of DVDTalkers, who more often than not show tact and class when receiving tips for bargains and pricing.

Speedy1961, I want to add my thanks for your efforts posting ads early for various stores. Your posts have been very useful in planning my purchases. For instance, sometimes I have Amazon preorders which I think might be the best price, but I never know for sure until I see the Sunday ads that week. Since Amazon sometimes ships preorders on Friday, I use your early posts to determine if I want to cancel the preorder before Friday.

Anyway, keep up the good work, and if anyone else gives you trouble in email you should just disable your email on DVD Talk, but please don't leave us or stop posting because some childish low-lifes harrassed you.

No one has any right to blast speedy's work he is doing for us for FREE! Please keep up the good work. I for one understand that mistakes happen. I use your posts as nothing more as guidlelines for my shopping plans. Of course my morning routine requires me to double check with the ads themselves. If people use your posts as gospel then they were only bound to be dissapointed. Nothing in life is ever 100% so always have a plan b. Verify everything and life will be smoother in the long run.

I for one am very thankful for the early prices. I would never bitch at you if there was an error.

Speedy,

What can I say? Thanks, brother.

I haven't posted since 2003 and it will be another 3 years before I post again, but I wanted to just make sure that you knew that your posts save me and my buddy, White Devil, hours and literally hundreds.

I will be forever grateful.

On a different note, The Last Samurai 2-disc you have posted for Target for 7.49, is that full screen or wide screen?

Thanks

-Fox

The boxsets that come with $5 giftcards, are the giftcards attached to the package or do they give them to you at the register?

Tell me who they were or send 'em my way. My satanic dog has become more agressive since her uterus was removed. She's been looking for some chew toys to take out that agression on.

And whatever carcass is leftover, we could bring to John..

Silly people.
