Good price. It is also on sale at Best Buy this week for 30 bucks. I don't know why people say the special effects on the show are cheesy. I was quite impressed with the production values. Great show.

Thanks for the heads-up, but I think that I'll wait. I would bet the farm that this set will be available for around $20 in another month or two. Smallville, Lois & Clark, Gilmore Girls, Nip/Tuck and other Warner sets have all been on sale for $20 at various locations in the past. As a matter of fact, Target will have Veronica Mars for $23 starting tomorrow.

You are a week early on Veronica Mars SBJ.

Target's sale On Veronica Mars starts on 4/23/06.

You were thrown off by them not advertising after Easter.

I got my set at BB when they had it for $27.99 for RZ members on release week, and I have not had any of the widely reported freezes on the video for the pilot or other episodes on the first disk.

FYI - for anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Shipp is going to be at the Dallas Comic Con later this month: http://www.scifiexpo.com/dcc/Next-Convention.html

Good chance to get the DVD set autographed!

And no, I am in no way affiliated with DCC.

Has the WB pressed new sets with a fix? I've held off on buying this set b/c of the screwups people have had with the pilot...TVod hasn't updated the news on this, so I'm going to assume the WB still hasn't done anything yet...

I'm still waiting for a Thundercats replacement. I'm going to hold off on this set some more...

I'm a Hugh SciFi fan and this series can hold up to any of today's series. My set didn't have any freezes and got it @ Best Buy for $28 when released.
