Thanks to the OP. For anyone in the DFW area, the Lewisville Target off of I-35 had at least 4-5 left.

The Trussville, AL store now seems to be out. I looked all over and couldn't find a one and then glanced at the single disc slot and found one stuffed at the back of the hole No slipcover but sealed. Incredible price...thanks!

Went to the Target on Willow & Herndon and they had 5 left on the main wall. Tag read $9.99, but price check came up $7.50. It's also the first time I've seen plastic wrap over the slipcase. They were all like that. Big thanks to the OP

The Target near my house in Las Vegas, NV (Spring Mountain and Rainbow) had quite a few in stock. Right next to the original bare-bones Spaceballs DVD.

Thanks, OP. I got the last copy at the Warwick, RI store the other day. Weird though. The slipcover was shrinked to the package, I took off the shrink and there were a couple security strips adhered to the front of the case, folded and mangled, as well as the standard ones on the top and side. Disc 1 was also a floater, but it played fine with no scratches or anything.

Great deal!

You mean for this specific movie, ir in general? Because its always been like that. Running Man was another with plastic over the slipcase. So was Stargate UE.

My Target still had 4 copies of Spaceballs yesterday, 3 with slipcovers.

Haven't checked out my Target yet, but all the DVD's I've ever bought with slipcases have the plastic wrap around the Amray case only. The cardboard slipcase is always on the outside. Some of the slipcases also have a flip door on the front, which is why they're not in the wrap.

BTW - What is different about this CE release? Is the transfer any better. I have the original, but love this movie. Never picked up the CE, though. (Not sure why)

Thanks, OP! Picked up a copy at the West Hartford, CT store. Still 2 left there.
What a great deal! Target's site is still listing this at $26.99!

New transfer, DTS, new documentary..... definitely one of the smarter double-dips one could make.

Picked one up in Nashua, NH (with slipcover). Still one left (without slipcover) mixed in with the first version. There was no indication of a price drop, the tag showed the $9.99 cost of the original, but it rang up at $7.50 without problem. I still have my insert from the original (which I dumped in the MGM class action suit).

I finally found one at another Target near work, it was on the bottom row of "Best Sellers". There were 3 copies, but only one did not have floaters inside of them.

NEW RULE....

You are NOT allowed to say you couldn't find the DVD at your Target.

instead, you must say:

"I ain't found shit!"

Okay.. I broke down and got the last one with a slipcase at my local Target. I rarely buy a double dip, but after reading most of this thread, I couldn't resist!

I've got to give thanks to the OP for this one. I couldn't pass up 7.50 for the SE. I got one of two left at my local Target. After I picked mine up, I went back five minutes later and the last one was gone. Thanks.

Thanks OP!
I bought the last slipcase at the Target in Champaign, IL. The DVD had the plastic wrap around the slipcase. I found it in the bottom row of the Best Sellers section.

Although at the time I was standing in Target trying to remember if I ever had the original. Turns out I did and promptly handed it over to a friend who wanted it.

anyone, ANYONE? in north OC find this yet? the targets around fullerton dont have shit. Either this is the most popular movie in OC, or the local targets blow. Im leaning towards the latter.

I found another two or three at the other Target in my area. I still could not talk myself into spending money for it.
