Well, I'm glad this deal was posted. Unfortunately it didn't come before I already bought MI by itself at BBY, so I'll be returning that one.
The only bummer of this is the MI 3 movie ticket is not good at AMC Theaters next door, so I've got to drive an extra 5 miles to go to a smaller Harkins.

Kool.
I went to my local CC in SW Chicagoland and asked the CSR about the Mission:Impossible 2 pk. Of course...she was clueless about a 2 pack and actually insisted that I must mean MI:2.
Duh...
Anyway, I looked in a bin that was underneath the rack of DVDs and found 3 of the 2 packs there. I got them to price match their online site and walked out with it for $14.00.

Is each movie in it's own case with the white title tape?... I just want the first one, and having a new sealed copy of part two would make it easier to sell?

so to make sure I understand....both movies are the newly released ones correct? but I thought the new ones were both suppoesd to be 2 discs for a total of 4 but it says its' only 3.
Also do you guys think it's worth it to buy the collectors edition now and get a free ticket or just wait for the all 3 to come in a boxset?

Personally, movie tickets for me are $10.75 in NYC so it's a no-brainer to buy the boxset for $12.99 + Tax now.

Ah, good thinking! i was thinking about doing that, but then you gotta spend another $13.50 to save $1.5, i ended up wasting $1.5 and save $13.50

i watched IM 1 and 2 long times ago, i think i'll want to watch them before IM3, darn, opportunity cost, yikes. that's two movies times...

I have to laugh at the pricing on MI Collector's Set. At first local stores and Amazon advertised it for $4 more than the new MI all by itself. Then CC lowers the Collector's Set to $12.99 which is the same as MI by itself. Then Amazon lowers their Collector's Set price to $13.46 which is a little cheaper than CC without the tax.
On the day of release, I was looking to order something else to make $25 for free shipping at Amazon, and if Amazon had priced the Collector's Set at $13.46 to begin instead of waiting until after I bought it and opened it from CC, then Amazon would've made a sale. So I'm sure Amazon missed out on many sales because they played price games.
Also, in my area the closest Harkins (5 miles away) is a dump... their matinees are $4.50 and evening shows are $6.50. I'd have to drive 20 miles to go to a decent Harkins which I won't do with gas @ $2.75, so the MI 3 movie ticket is only worth $4.50 to me. It's also only good for barely over a week.

The sales tax is very low in my area. I actually paid less at CC then Amazon because the shipping is cheaper by fiddy cent at CC. I'm about 20 miles from CC so it would cost me at least 5 bucks to drive there. I just hope the dam movie ticket is included in this deal. I really am looking forward to seeing the new MI. Philip Seymour Hoffman looks like he will be a great evil dude in the coming attractions I've seen!
