X-Files Seasons Sets at Costco $43.99

I know some people were interested in getting the sets in the orginal boxes. Saw all sets at Costco in the original box sets for $43.99 in Portland, OR.

Will Best Buy have another good deal on the repackaged X-Files seasons 4 through 6?

My local costco had 1, 4, 6, 7, and 8... so it pretty much depends on the location

Hmm, I might try and pick up the final season set... I already own seasons 1-3, anything beyond those of particular interest? I missed a few of those later years...

IMHO, seasons 4 and 5 are very good. The movie takes place after season 5 and before season 6. Seasons 6 and 7 were decent, but the quality starts to take a down turn after season 5. Season 8 was the season with Robert Patrick(I cannot comment on this season because I only saw a few episodes). The final season was terrible with a really terrible conclusion(I'll probably still get it if the price drops to under $30, just to complete the collection).

Definitely gonna ahve to check the local Costco on Wednesday. I need Season 4, 8 & 9 to round everything off, and I'd rather do it with the "old" versions to complete the set. Plus I like the extras too

So the old versions have special features not in the new, slimmer, cheaper sets, right? Are they worth the 10+ bucks extra?

I went and got season 4 from mine. Looks like that Costco had all of the sets though.

So me and the wife head down to Costco yesterday to check out a few things and while she's doing her thing I stroll on over to the DVD section on the hunt. After circling the section I find the boxes that have the X Files DVD's in. Bearing in mind I'm on the hunt for Seasons 4, 7 & 8.

There are 2 boxes, 1 in front of the other, and I'm flicking thru them. I find Season 4 to my delight and carry on. All I'm seeing is Seasons 1-6 and feel a little dejected. I head over to Customer Service only to be told that whatever is out there is all there is. Not to be deterred I head back and then it strikes me - the boxes are a on the top level of 2. I pull them both up and was overjoyed to see another box of DVD's under there containing Season 7-9

Head to the check out to pay for everything but then completely forget that I only my credit card on me and that Costco doesn't take credit cards (why?). Thankfully the wife comes to the rescue and picks them up for me, claiming I "owe her one". I'll happily oblige that's for sure.

So, if you're out and about looking for them, check underneath because there maybe some more boxes with what you're looking for.

Costco takes AMEX, but it's an exclusive arrangement. You can even have a Costco branded AMEX that acts as your membership card.

Don't forget to send the mail in rerbates before 3/31/06
Eligible titles :
X-Files
Millennium
The Long Gunmen
Harch Realm
The rebate amount is $5.00 for each of the above titles(up to $20.00).
I am not sure if the above sets include the mail-in certificate in the box since I found mine in the Mythology sets.
