"Rent" 2-disc...best price?

Haven't seen many of the B&M ads that I usually see by now (Target and CC), so was wondering what and where the best price for "Rent" on Tues 2/21.
Thanks.

Will CC be cheaper? Hopefully I'll find out before mine ships...

Got email that mine from Amazon already shipped. Oh well, $14.99 with tax for me is $16.03 and that's before you count the gas to drive the 60 mile round trip to CC. I think I made the right choice going with Amazon in this case.

Our Wal-Mart was $14.98 (though I had to search high and low for the WS. They had about 60 FS and 8 WS!). There's also a 2-pack with "Center Stage" for $19.xx. (ones I saw were FS, but might have both).

FYE had it for $19.99 - $7 mail in rebate.

I ended up buying it there for 10.99 after Backstage pass 10% dsct and rebate.

Went to my local CC tonight and they had a sign up saying that the calendars were not available. The clerk told me they were never shipped. Guess I'll PM at BB to get the reward points.

I pricematched it at Wal-Mart for $14.99 since the Circuit Shitty near my house had only fullscreen for sale (I had to do the same with Domino due to the same exact reason).

Same with me. I went to my local Circuit City yesterday morning and was told that they never received the calendar.

Is the calendar a big deal? The things I get free from CC (outside of bonus discs) eventually end up in the trash within a month...

They did not get the calendars at my local CC, either. I was just there tonight (having tried calling daily after my daughter bought it on Tuesday and was told they did not have them). I email them and got the following response back:

I understand your concern regarding the free calendar with the purchase of the DVD titled 'Rent'.

I have checked the Weekly Ad section of our web site and found that the
offer is available on Tuesday, 02/21/06. Please note that the offer is
an In-store offer only. Further, you may note that the free calendar is
subject to the availability. Unfortunately, we are unable to meet the
expectations of every customer as the availability remains on a
first-come, first-served basis.

However, we have received an update that all stores will receive the
calendars by this Friday afternoon 2/24 at the latest. For further
assistance in this regard, I suggest you call or visit the nearest
Circuit City store and contact the Store Manager.
Needless to say, as of 8pm tonight the store manager said they had not received it (and he checked in a few places). He told me to try calling again next week.

Our local CC, which did not have the calendars earlier in the week, had them today.

I guess it depends on how much you like the movie. It's small about the size of a small greeting card and there are some nice pictures with quotes from and about the movie. I'll be giving mine to my daughter who will probably appreciate it more than I do (and since you said you have a daughter, you may want to keep it in mind). I got it because CC had the lowest price and the calendar was a nice freebie. If CC's price had been $1 more or if another retailer had it for $1 less, it wouldn't be worth the extra effort to get the calendar.

I just picked it for $7.99 after $7.00 rebate from Strawberries (one of the TWEC Stores group). Best Buy's advertisment showed it being $14.99 (see below) and the price was confirmed with a store employee. Unfortunately they were out of the Widescreen version, so I took the ad across the street to a Strawberries Music & Video store and they honored it without blinking an eye. I wasn't even aware that they were offering a $7 rebate, but the form automatically printed out. BTW the Best Buy price ends tonight (Saturday) I believe.

TWEC stores are also offering a $7.00 REBATES on "North Country" and "Domino" as well so theoretically those should end up being $7.99 as well.

It's 14.99 at suncoast.com plus there are coupons for 10%, 15%, and 20% depending on how much you spend (coupon details listed on their website). So if you have suncoast credit to blow, this is the way to go. I spent $100, so got 20% off. There are definitely some bargains to be had:

Rent $11.99
Moonlighting: Season 3 $25.58
Saw II $11.99
Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson $11.99
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe 2-Disc SE $22.39
