Looks like I'll get Love Actually as well. Could someone start to make a complete list of included titles?

By the time that happens, the sale will be over.

Wow, some nice prices....I may have to stop today after work. I would really like Love Actually for that price. Which King Kong is it also? I skimmed through the thread.

I'm tempted to get the Simpsons, but I don't own any others...so I passed.

The 50 and the 00 are numbers that signifies what security device is being used inside the box. It doesn't make a difference as long as the regular UPC numbers match. I took back a Simpsons set last year to Best Buy that had a different two digit number from what Best Buy had on their shelves and it scanned correctly in their computer.

I picked up the Simpsons S7 last night. They still had plenty left of each type. They had ZERO signage on any of the dvds with the exception of the Robots dvd with a kids t-shirt for $13.49 after the $5 instant savings.

Costco had the first 5 seasons of The Simpsons in a bundle for just $75 last month. Coistco quite often will run the same sale at a future date, so if they bring back the bundle deal for $75, you could have seasons 1-7 for just $106. For anyone on the fence about whether or not to pick up a set, go ahead and buy it and you can always return it later. Costco is extremely easy about returns. They'll let you return anything at anytime and for any reason. They'll even give you a full return on an opened DVD.

That's good news.

I once was unable to return a copy of LOTR:Return of the King to my local Walmart that I had received as a gift via Amazon.com. They scanned it and told me that it was not a recognized by their inventory system.

So it seems as if there are some store specific UPCs floating around out there, at least for some titles and retailers.

When I bought my copy on Wednesday, they had about 7 copies left. I'm not going back until Sunday, but if they still have 'em, I'll definitely pick one up for you.

BTW, if you miss out on this sale, you should be able to get it for the same price in April. As I mentioned earlier, www.foxstore.com should have a 50% off sale sometime in April. Their price is $55.98, so it should be $28 during the sale.

I was initially on the fence with Season 7 as I have yet to watch the first six seasons on DVD.

Then I read the DVDtalk review of S7 and I was sold. It received a DVDTalk Collector Series rating and it looks like a winner.

So you must buy it.

I also noticed that my Costco again has the Monty Python's FC 16-disk set again, but now in the slim cases. Still $99.99 though.

First, thanks to the OP for this, I recently rejoined Costco, they sent me a mailer at home to get a $20 gift card with signup, woohoo. I picked up 24 Season 4, looked for Office Space but didn't see it.

Second, people have talked about the potential 50% off Fox sale. One thing to note, last year, it was only available to people on their email list. I think one or two people claimed that they were able to argue their way into the sale, but for the most part it was restricted to people who were already getting email from the them. I had ordered once before from them, but you may be able to get on the list by signing up for their promo spam at foxstore. There is no guarantee that they will do it again as well, doesn't mean that they won't, but I wouldn't assume that it has the perennial aspect that the DDD sale does.

Also, I can't believe that there's someone out there who hasn't seen the Simpsons! You are in for a treat, the later seasons do contain a lot of references to stuff in earlier years, but they definitely stand alone, and many of those middle years(seasons 4-9 or so) have some of the best animated comedy ever, imo.

I thought he just meant he had not watched the DVDs yet, not the show itself.

Thanks OP for spotting the deal.

Just got back from the lunch hour there, absolutely no signage posted for the sales, I don't get that, wouldn't they want to sell more of them by advertising.

Anyway, picked up season 7 for $15.xx and then got slapshot and liar liar with $4 off each of them, picked up the $5 chicken for lunch, and filled up for cheap. Good lunch hour.

They also had a few other titles on special

40 Year Old Virgin was $18.99 - $5
Mr. and Mrs. Smith was $18.99 - $5
American Pie Band Camp was $17.99 - $5

Was also able to get The Great Outdoors for $8.99 -$4
How to lose a guy in ten days for $8.99 -$4
Elecktra $12.99 - $4
Transporter SE - $12.99 - $4

Prices at the Costco I went to seemed to be around a dollar higher for the box sets, still a good deal though. Sorry if I got some of this wrong, I bought 11 titles yesterday and don't remember of hand excatly the price on all of them.

Yes, in my case I've seen a number of the broadcast episodes but I've never watched the DVDs. I plan on watching the series, in order, from episode 1.

I've edited my original comments to make that clearer.

Yeah, I never botherd to get the DVD's. I enjoy the Simpsons, but I don't really like to own TV shows on DVD since I usually watch them once are rarely go back to them. If I need a SImpsons fix, I can DVR them since they are on EVERYday.

Norwalk, CT Costco had plenty of Season 7 Simpsons in face and normal box design but no Season 6 (which I was after).

Did have a good number of the other stuff mentioned like Kong Production etc.

The only other thing I noticed missing was any Sideways ... so looks like they got snapped up.

Well, I created an account and checked the box saying I wanted to receive special offers and such from them, so we'll see what happens.

The Milford location had a few of the Season 6 Homer head copies when I was there on Wednesday. Might be worth the trip.
