"The Flash" complete series.... @ DDD $36.58

Deep Discount Dvd has the Flash complete series on sale for $36.58. Cheaper than the $41 than other places are selling.

Not bad but I told myself I wouldn't get it unless it's under $30.00 somwhere which I know won't happen. I'm hoping it drops in a few month's like Lois and Clark.

A drastic price drop isn't very likely to happen, as this is the only season for this show. Unlike with Lois & Clark (and just about any other show), where they hope that by enticing you to buy Season 1 at a low price, you'll get hooked and go out and buy the rest of the seasons at normal price.

Right, (except after tax for me it would be $37.43, of course it all goes towards more reward points too, so...)

Holding out for a price drop all the same, and will do so for L&C S2 as well - burned with buying L&C S1 and Smallville S4 for $40 each when they dropped about a month later for half the price.

If you got it at Best Buy I think you could have gone back to get refunded the difference. I'm pretty sure their price match policy covers price changes that occur within 90 days.

I hope DDD has another 20% off sale, $29.26 seems like a reasonable price.

I got burned on L&C, too, bought it when it was new during the June DDD 20% off sale, paid about $34 I think, was a good price at the time, oh well.

Well I risk waiting especially since I hear others that bought it are having troubles playing the pilot episode.

Just a quick question....

Exactly how were you "Burned" by a price drop? You bought the movie when you wanted it. At some point the price dropped... Did I get burned because the movie I really wanted was out of stock when it was on sale? Yes, I would say so. Did I get burned because I didn't buy it on sale when I saw it? Nope- my fault. Did I get burned because I bought it when I wanted to own it and the price dropped later - no, prices change. And if you haven't been able to watch it yet - why buy it now? Are you afraid you can't get it later? Are there TV sets that you can't get anymore because you waited for the price to drop?

I wouldn't say burned but lesson learned....as a buyer looking for a bargain I'm willing to gamble it'll drop at some point.

If it doesn't or is not avaiable I'll take the hit and get it off eBay

While I see your point, no one expects a TV season set they paid $40 for to drop by half in a month's time. Six months? Maybe. A year, sure. Prices drop. But a month for a 50% price decrease is burning those who paid twice that when it was released. BTW, I can't imagine Season 2 of Lois & Clark or The Flash will be OOP anytime soon, and certainly not before a price drop.

Best Buy also has the set with "An exclusive comic book inside", too - just in case that might sway anyone's decesion. It was also the cheapest B&M price I saw it listed for.

I just watched my copy's pilot episode, and it played fine. And I've got an old DVD player. But there must be something going on with some of the copies. A great show.
