Good Prices on X-Files Season Sets (Not the Upcoming Rerelease ones)?

I picked up Season 1 a while ago when it was on sale for $30 bucks... but I'm looking to get the rest of the series while they come in the digipacks; I dont really want/like the new slimline ones coming out. Anyone know of any good deals on the digipacks or happen to know if anyone is going to have a B1G1F sale soon?? Thanks!!

I'm hoping that when the new packaging comes out the old ones will go on clearance or at least be reduced to a price below the new ones.

Out of curiousity, why don't you want the re-releases, but want the original releases?

Yes, I understood that, but I was curious about what specifically he doesn't like about the slimcases, and likes the original packaging so much more.

I'm sort of in the opposite position. I bought season 1 a while ago very cheaply, but I've been waiting for the new releases to come out to get the rest, mostly for the price drop. But I also I greatly prefer slimcases to the older packaging. I'm considering selling my current season 1, since it looks like they are still going for fairly high prices on half.com. Is there anything that I would be missing out on if I did decided to sell the old season 1 and get the new version?

I haven't seen any prices nearly as good as the $49.99 sale Best Buy had last year.

I prefer the slimline cases to pretty much all of the box set packaging out there.

Some people probably have some of the sets already and don't want to change up the packaging midstream...

Personally, I sold my Season 1 set which I purchased during a sale for $34 and hadn't even watched yet. I made a few dollars as well.

I prefer the thinpaks, so it works for me.

Honestly, I think the old digipacks seemed "meaty" (ugha). It makes them feel good and have that "wow" factor. I just like the digipacks better. Dont get me wrong, slimline are good; but id rather have the digipack version.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the clarification. I purchased The Lone Gunmen and the "Mythology" sets of The X-Files and they all use the slimline DVD cases, which is fine with me, although since I haven't seen one of the old sets first-hand, I can't necessarily say which I prefer.
