Samurai Champloo Vol. 6 LE TIN at Hot Topic (B&M - YMMV?)
I found a limited Edition Tin of Volume 6 today at Hot Topic for 50% off of $24.99.
Didn't even know about the tin until today. It's the regular Vol. 6 with no shrink wrap inside of a pretty cool looking tin.
Tin or no tin, I think it's a good deal.
(The cashier was happy because he thought it was the first one they ever sold.)
YMMV!

Amazon says Jan. 11th on the search results page, but the main product page has it available now.
Hot Topic's site has it listed at $12.50, called & confirmed it at my local store too.
Anyway to get the "boxed set box" seperate from the Volume 1 dvd?

BTW, thanks to the OP for the heads-up on this deal.

Damnit, i just paid $25 the other day at BB for just the DVD itself. I wish the copy inside the tin was shrinkwrapped so i could just return that one to BB.

Picked up two sets and was pleasantly surprised to find later that each one was discounted twice. Total for both was $12.50 and change. Thanks OP. I would have never bothered to visit there.

Just curious--About how many were at each store you guys went to? I really don't feel like going into the holiday rush right now, but I don't want to miss out, either. Thanks in advance!

)They had two on an island shelf with other anime stuff and five or six more inside the glass display case at the counter. (With the stickers and stuff.)

I just went ahead and got one. Geez, it's crazy out there. And I do really hate that store and all that it stands for. Ha ha. Mine rang up full price, so I was a bit worried. I thought I had driven out there for nothing. I explained that it was $12.50 on their website and supposed to be locally, and they changed it for me. What a relief. Not a bad deal--thanks for the heads up.

Picked one up at Irving Mall. They had about a half-dozen on pegs with a small hand-printed tag stating $12.50 on it. Rang up full price, pointed out the tag to the cashier, he checked the shelf to make sure there was no funny business going on, saw the rest priced the same, "cool", discounted, cha-ching & out the door.

There was only one hanging with the other DVDs when I arrived, but I had called beforehand and the clerk said there were "lots" - which, it turns out, there was, just in the back. They weren't labeled "clearance" or were in that section; apparently, stores received a recent email stating to mark them down.

However, it says it's "Completly sold out" online.

Beware for anyone who buys items from Hot Topic online, particularly Canadian customers. I purchased the SC vol.6 w/tin at that great price but shipping was $31 USD (!!!!!!!!!!). When i received the dvd the box it came in was FREAKING MASSIVE. We're talking about a box big enough to fit the complete Calvin & Hobbes collection and still have room for another 20 or so regular DVDs. I was absolutely scammed on shipping
Just how this brainless operation managed to get an exclusive item like this is beyond me.
