Thanks for the advance ad preview. I have a quick question, though. Did the ad mention ANYTHING about the XBox 360 console being re-stocked or available for sale during that week? I appreciate a reply. Thx again.

Speedy,
Could you possibly post which dvd players/dvd recorders are in the ad and also what the prices are? I need to buy one soon and am wondering if I should wait until next week. Thanks!

The ad on page 1 states that it will be available for sale.

Tarantino's post above indicates that they will be in stock.

Best advice is to jump on this ASAP if you want it this week (12/18 - 12/24).

That was already adressed, either in this thread or this week's BB thread. I believe it was 12/18 they were being restocked and some sample numbers were given.

My boss at my second job has a Pioneer TV and is thrilled with it.

I can collect more details about what's available at Costco when I make my weekly trip on Thursday if you're interested.

There are no costcos in our area. Closest one is 2 hours away, near cleveland ,Ohio. Do they all have the same selection?I would be willing to drive to there. I have always been most interested in Pioneer. I dont see it on their website.

We have 4-5 Costcos about a 20-25 minute drive from us and I think they've all had a Pioneer 42" or 43" model for quite a while. Some have had both sizes. No guarantee though because they can change stock quickly.

Like all warehouse clubs, their stock change change quickly.

You can always call before you make the drive to see if they have what you'd be interested in buying is there so that you can eyeball it.

A word of warning: I found out first hand last week that Costco does not offer any type of visitor pass to purchase. You can look but not buy. BJ's and Sam's offer visitor passes but you pay a couple percentage points over the listed price without membership. If you are planning on buying at Costco, you need to figure a membership you may never use again into the cost of the product.

Buyer beware! This is a fraking scam by NBC Universal to release only 1/2 the season and call it Season 2.0. The 2nd half of the season, that airs on Sci Fi Channel starting in January, is not included in this DVD set. It's very likely that the complete 20 episode season 2 will be released next summer or fall for about the same price.

Good point. Perhaps a relative / friend can assist in the purchasing portion of the transaction.

Membership is $45 with a bonus membership at a $100 I think. With the rewards membership you get 2 - 3% back and your could use membership to buy products online.

In a sense, you could get membership paid for by your purchase if you join.

You can treat the $45 membership as a form of 'service plan'. Costco has the best return policy in the retail industry. As long as you have the receipt, you can return a year old TV for full refund...say, if the TV starts to give you problem after the usual one year warranty.

I was wondering about this. The "season" is so good, though, that it's gonna be hard not to pick it up!

Also, thanks for the early pricing, OP!

Re: Costco - once you buy the membership, buy the stuff you want, and then you can request to cancel your membership, and they will refund the cost of membership. Now I doubt you could keep cancelling/renewing your membership just to get past the $45 annual fee. I figure with the gas I buy at Costco, the membership fee is a wash, but then I get to buy other deals at Costco when they crop up.

Tonight, the local news showed footage of people camping out in front of Best Buy so they could score a XBOX 360 on Sunday morning.

I thought about getting their early for the $550 laptop they had up for sale, but with so many people camping out, my odds of just showing up 30 minutes before store opening and getting the laptop are mighty slim.

Stock guaranteed if you're camped in line tonight. My local Best Buy already had the "XBOX 360 line starts here" signs up this afternoon.......

Is this permanent or do you have to enter the code on the remote everytime?

Edit: Amazon has it on sale for $49.99.
