I just like the fact that Sin City and D.H. are considered "Disney Titles".

Why? ABC is owned by Disney.

Prices are ok, but really not that great. We just had better deals on most of these titles.

I still do not find it wierd that it is considered a Disney title.

Just as titles released by Buena Vista are marketed as a Disney title.

Back on topic, I agree that the prices are luke warm to say the least.

As explained on the wikipedia page, Touchstone (which DH is "made" under) was created to not "ruin" the pristine Disney name with the racier things they were wanting to produce. That way, Disney = kids stuff. The way Amazon lumped them all under the Disney banner made me laugh, given what Disney had tried to do.

Lukewarm except for Lost and Desperate Housewhores, espcially if you only want one item. Thanks for posting, though.

Thanks Christi! I was hoping for the Sin City extended to be here as well. I have all of the titles I want there and I think they were cheaper when I got them (Desperate and Lost for $27.99 with Rewards Zone and/or coupon at Best Buy).

I agree this is no fantastic sale. The season set prices are a couple bucks cheaper than they were at the DDDVD 20% sale, but dang, that SRP they list just kills it. The single DVDs are no great steal either. Fifteen bucks for each one? Hell, that's not even cheaper than they were when they were brand new.

That's because Amazon bases their % off on the MSRP, and the only places that charge MSRP are B&M's like Borders and FYE.

People continue to miss the point of posts like this one, which is that they're useful to those of us who have gift cards to a particular store.

Does Amazon offer price differences? I bought one of the dvds listed there about a week ago from Amazon.com and it has already shipped, arrived, and has been charged, if I e-mail them today, will they give me the price difference?

It seems to depend on the mood of the person who responds to your email. I've received adjustments from Amazon in the past, other times they've given me a $5 or $10 gift certificate instead.

Definitely doesn't hurt to try, but I'd place a phone call, since this is a one day sale. 800-201-7575

I don't think that's the sole point of the post. Besides, even if it's a gift card, it's still sort of a waste of money to blow it on what amounts to a non-sale if you can afford to buy it elsewhere.

Anyhow, I'm not pissing on the person's post or anything, just pointing out that for the most part those deals aren't as good as "50% off" would lead you to believe.
