Best Price for Andy Griffth S4 & Leave it to Beaver S1?

I haven't seen any ads with either Andy Griffith S4 or Leave it to Beaver S1 listed. Has anyone seen any ads either before Thanksgiving or in the after Thanksgiving sales? If not I guess I will order from Deep Discount.

Thanks,

vgc

Worth owning just for the first risque words ever uttered on television:

"Ward, you were a little hard on the Beaver last night..."

That is disgusting

And, not close to funny.

You should be ashamed of yourself-but of course, you're not.

Go back to the Bill and Ted collector's convention and leave us normal people alone.

Season 5 of TAG will be out in February. I don't have any yet, so I may wait and get them all in a box set deal that will (hopefully) be offered when they are all released. If not, I will get caught up during the (hopefully) next DDD sale in June or so.

I'll netflix Andy.

Personally I never could stand Leave it to Beaver. Ward I always thought was just a dick. A day never went by that I just didnt want to slap the Beaver. Let's not even get started on June. The flake is so overdone someone should just bake her at 350 for two and a half hours and be done with it. Wally was ok. But he reminds me so much of my cousin, looks kind of like him, and he even acts the same way. Really kind of dopey.

Your loss. I've been waiting for years for LITB to come out on DVD. It's the top item on my Christmas list.

I thought that it was funny and I like Bill & Ted. I guess I'm not a normal person.

It's on coffee mugs fercryssakes!

Yep, it's older than the hills, and really not very offensive at all. Our friend Joe is a bit uptight, evidently. Lots of fun at parties, I'll bet.

I guess the "Bill and Ted" comment was lost on me altogether... familiar with the movies, didn't make the connection though. As for "normal people"--I believe that's an oxymoron.

My thought, is wait until February when all of the gift cards are all used up, and then the pattern will kick-in: These TV sets will also be $15.88 at Sam's Club or Costco. TV sets are going to drop in price because they always make so much of them in the first run, they have tons of excess (see Warner's and Paramont sets now).

Didn't see it at Costco either (or King Kong, in case anyone was wondering).

I checked K-Mart last night, couldn't find Andy or the Beav. I wonder if it will be on sale at some other stores friday? I hate fighting the crowds for nothing.

No Andy season 4 at my Costco. No King Kong visible either, but then I asked a stock person and they had a box in back of the BOXSET (with Kong, Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young) for $24.49. Incredible deal. As often is the case, you may have to search and look high and low. No idea on Andy though, and they have carried every earlier season to this point.

It seems as though waiting for a bit would be the best bet on these sets--especially Beaver S1. Season 1 sets are often discounted during sales.

I know the shows are beloved, but I don't think these are flagship titles. I'll bet they're available on the cheap a few months from now--though admittedly, I have no idea what the history has been on Andy Griffith 1-3. I love the show, but I'd have a hard time paying more than $20/season. I've seen them all about a billion times, I'll wait for "the deal that can't be ignored".

SJ: I picked up AG S1-3 at Costco for $13/season. I have not seen any bargains on LITB, but generally I wait until after several seasons out. (PS: Ignore that Jimbo from Michigan - that was funny! actually, freakin' funny!)
