Post SW:EIII Prices Here

I hope this is OK, I just thought it would be nice to just have one thread with all of the known SW:EII prices. Looking for online and B&M. List any exclusives that are available with them too.
Amazon: 15.98
DDD: 16.69
buy.com: 15.97

Zodiac_Speaking 10-28-05 10:05 AM

Anyone in Omaha, NE or Kansas City area, Nebraska Furniture Mart might be selling it for $9.99. That's a rumor I heard from someone who works there.

fidodido 10-28-05 10:40 AM

Fry's: $14.99

DavidH 10-28-05 11:07 AM

Best Buy: $14.99 (according to their Web site)

Altimus Prime 10-28-05 12:20 PM

Circuit City's site has it at $19.99. Will that really be the in-store price release day/week?

chsidwel 10-28-05 01:17 PM

The price on Circuit City's website is $14.99.

Altimus Prime 10-28-05 07:33 PM

Damn, I could have swore I saw $19.99 on there. <shrugs>

Having one thread is a good idea, however a GREAT idea would be to not abbreviate the disc title so people could actually find it in a search if needed! Something like "Star Wars : Episode III : Revenge of the Sith dvd prices here"

Don't forget about Walmart's Deal $20.87 and comes with a hour long disc of some bonus feature.
Or $15.87 without the bonus disc. Some will say the disc is not worth the extra $5 but you KNOW people will pay upwards of $30 on ebay this time next year for it!

TheBang 10-30-05 03:15 AM

WTF? Where are the deals? I picked up Episodes I and II for $9.99 each on release day. This is supposed to be a loss-leader! Maybe on Black Friday?

where was that, not one of the major chains that I can recall?

Dalvin 10-30-05 09:14 AM

Toys R Us doe Episode II, so anybody know what the price is for Episode II at Toys R Us on release day?

Dalvin 10-30-05 09:15 AM

I mean Episode III sorry, I would have edited my post, but for some reason I can't. Nor can I create new topics.

Altimus Prime 10-30-05 09:20 AM

Looks like nobody is advertising a price for this. No prices listed in the Sunday Best Buy and Kmart ads. Where's the sense in that? How's the buyer supposed to know where to go for the best deal?????

RonBoster 10-30-05 09:46 AM

Neb. Furn Mart has Ep 3 for $11.99

I think this must be a first. Not a single ad (BBY, CC, TGT, Fry's) lists a price for Star Wars 3! Unless I'm mistaken, for each of the last 2 Star Wars releases at least 1 place had it listed for $14.99, and I think Ultimate Electronics may have had it for $13.95, and possibly Comp USA for $9.99 (just like they did with each of the Harry Potter movies when I preordered them somewhere else for more). This is very disappointing. This week there wasn't a Comp USA or Ultimate ad for me. At least this is within 30 days so if we see SW3 for sale for $9.99 or less on BF, it should only be a matter of pricematching within 30 days.

I'm trying to decide if I should let my Amazon order for Star Wars 3 + Polar Express 2-DVD go through for $15.88 each or hope for a better price on Black Friday where I can go in for a pricematch at my convenience. Any suggestions?

I don't know where you live but if you saw the prior reply it's 11.99 at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Otherwise it's a toss up...if you have a BB I'd recommend taking $3 of BB bucks and buying it there. Which should make it $11.99 (If BB is at it's usual price on new releases), plus if you're a Reward zone member you can get the lithograph with it.

Or you can roll the dice and still use your BB bucks on the Black friday. Cuz you know EP3 is gonna be in the ads. Just my thoughts...

Well, the BB flyer shows it next to the Clone Wars dvd which is $14.99, so I'm pretty sure that will be the price for EPIII as well (it's a pretty standard ad technique when they can't show a price) same thing for the Target ad, next to the $15.99 cd.

I got an email ad from CompUSA this morning that has it for $14.99 clearly printed on the ad.

No price in the Circuit City ad at all.

Walmart ad doesn't show a price either, but that's pretty typical as their pricing in-store is almost always regional, based on the closest competition. The site lists it as $20.87 with the bonus DVD or $15.87 without. Probably be a little cheaper instore.

Sears only shows "low price" but they have a $5 off when purchased with a SW vid game.

EdL 10-30-05 12:08 PM

Net is $9.99 at Target

$14.99 - $5.00 (gift Card) = $9.99 at Target.

Best price in Omaha & Kansas City before rebate is $11.99 at Nebraska Furniture Mart.

Altimus Prime 10-30-05 12:34 PM

Well, gee, send me a $5 gift card and I'll be all over that Target price. <shrugs>

And I'm sure it goes without saying - No price listed in ad, no price matching. Right?

are they giving away a $5 gift card to everyone?

I guess my RZ certs make it free for me at BB or a net of Zero. However this pricing is very regional ;)

brkhrt7 10-30-05 04:29 PM

I think you only get the $5 Target giftcard when you buy episode 1 or 2. You onlyget some collector coin with episode 3.

jiggyblau 10-30-05 05:06 PM

I really wouldn't be surprised to see this as one of the $11.99 or $9.99 DVDs on Black Friday. I may wait until then.

I was really hoping for a box set for Eps 1-3, but that is apparently not happening.

DocBrass 10-30-05 06:03 PM

what is on the Wal-Mart bonus disc?

EdL 10-30-05 06:53 PM

Ooops

$5 Target gift card is for buying epsiodes 1, 2, or Battlefront 2.

I'll be sneaking off to NFM at 10:00 AM to pick-up my copy.
