Was just about to post this - some nice deals there. I'm picking up Das Boot for sure.

What I wanna know is who is going to be getting the Lou Diamond Phillips 3-pack?

I picked up the Steamboy/Memories 2 pack, each movie seperately costs more that the 2 pack. Also picked up one of the Harryhausen box sets.

Just a heads up- Some of the Superbits can be had for less from CD-Wow if you go through the $2 discount on the net. Just search a bit, it's easy enough to find.

Is the Lawrence of Arabia in the boxset a good version or should I go for the Superbit instead?

And thanks OP! I've been eyeing a few of those boxsets to be honest! That Roughnecks one just came out not too long ago as well.

Don't know quality of box set but don't buy the superbit from Amazon as you can it from bestbuy for $9.99.

Roughnecks is a great deal. Great sci-fi show. Well worth $25.

Off-topic, but how "limited" can that Bridge Over River Kwai be? I've had it for about 5 years, and it is still obviously plentiful enough to warrant being added to a major sale. Gotta love Sony's marketing department.

Are Steamboy and Memories good? I liked some anime and I was wondering if you think they're worth getting?

Depends on what you like.

I thought Steamboy was a bit dissapointing story-wise (looked great), and Memories is fairly interesting, but not something I'd watch again soon.

Thanks, pilot. I just ordered The Fantastic Films of Ray Harryhausen: Legendary Science Fiction Series box set for $28.98. They also have the better-known Harryhausen Legendary Monster Series box set for the same price.

What might be more disturbing is who bought enough of them to make it a "Bestselling Sony Boxset"?

Definitely some awesome deals here.

Thanks for the heads up. I got several gifts for friends and family.
It is a lot of fun finding out about these Amazon specials. The fourth quarter is always a good time to find DVD bargains,

Picked up Starship Troopers: Roughnecks TCC for an X-Mas gift for myself (helps justify my purchases, and makes everything ok when I tell myself that). Thanks to the OP
