It looks pretty tacky. It's the exact same as the normal 2 disc cover at one angle, and at a different angle Batman disappears and you only see the bats. Underneath it, the box is all white, and the Best Buy sticker left a square of crap on the holographic plastic. Add all that up with the fact that the slipcase wasn't wrapped and dented to hell, plus the lack of an insert, and you've got a pretty disappointed customer.
To get the sticky off, try some Goo Gone.

Went to the Circuit City in my area and would you believe they said they didn't know they had a DE 2 disk edition of Batman Begins. They just had the single disk. Very strange.

Been a looong time since I purchased from B&M. Didn't know they PM'ed printouts. Much rather go down the street to CC for BB:deluxe than wait for Amazon to ship it. I'll actually be able to get it in time someone's B-DAy now.

Wish I knew this yesterday tho; coulda PM'ed up two Land of Dead for 14.88, too. Went three wal-marts before finding the unrated with widescreen.

EDit: Weird. The brand new "gi-normous" CC never even received any copies of Deluxe. Had to go to the "old & busted" CC, instead. Think I'm gonna leave that Amazon order active and keep it for myself. I can wait.
Also noticed that their Land of Dead had bonus comic. Kinda neat, but not enough to return my Wmart copies.
Good lookin out on that pricematch tip, cupon!

I price matched CC at Walmart but the kicker was Walmart has a 2 pack that has 2 episodes of the animated Batman packaged with the Batman Begins . They price matched the 2 pack so I got the bonus DVD with 2 cartoons + Batman Begins for $14.99 .
The bonus disc had about 45-60 minutes of cartoons on it .

No. I guess she assumed the local Wal-mart was selling it in their store for that price as well.

I didn't expect them to. I just thought "what the hell." I'm passing by CC anyway. I have nothing to lose. She didn't even try to verify the printout, considering it didn't have the url footer info on it.

re: Batman Anthology, Elektra DC, Mask of Zorro and [2] Depeche Mode Cd's.

Couldn't go yesterday so I hit the stores today.

Went to Best Buy first. Box Set was sold out, They had no Mask of Zorro and Depeche Mode Cd was also sold out. They had Elektra DC, so I got it.

Next up Circuit City. No Box, no Zorro, no Depeche Cd.

Then went to FRYS. Same as CC.

Finally hit Target. They had 2 Box Sets of Batman. Got one of them for $49.99. No Zorro Dvd. they had DM cd but it was for $11.99, not $9.99 like at BB.

The Frustration!

... and waiting for Batman Begins Deluxe to arrive from Amazon.

I'm going to try to get a price match on the Walmart printout. If BB says no, then I'll try CC. If they say no, I just won't get it.

I'm happy I got the Anthology for $49.19 at BB with a Trgt pricematch.

i think the cover is fine. the sticker came off no problem. all the DEs they had were fine with no dented covers. sorry you had problems. fyi, shrinkwrap won't protect a slipcover from getting dented. you couldn't find one without dents or what? be happy you were able to get a PM on a pricing error

Whatever, I'll be going back on Saturday to exchange it for a non-dented one (if I can find one), along with exchanging my copy of Saw (Uncut) for one without 2 cracks in the cover.

It was shaky for a while, and it seemed like they were going to say no, but I got Best Buy to pricematch the WalMart online $15.87 for the two-disc.

The price sticker came off without a problem. No residue left behind at all. The cardboard case is A-OK except for the slightest of issues at the bottom left corner of the spine. I really can't complain about it, especially considering the price I got it for.

P.S. This will help my actual cost vs srp cost. At 126 titles, I'm at actual total cost of $2,142.55, versus a total SRP of $4,210.59.

Was that the single disc of Batman Begins you got, or was it the two-disc deluxe edition? I'm guessing it's the single disc you got.

Rant: When you cannot pick up an advertised item the day it becomes available because it is already out-of-stock.

I was worried about missing out on a cool cover by ordering it at Amazon. I was relieved after seeing the DVD at Best Buy. I just hate those sort of covers. The texture and overall look seems so cheap and tacky. Just not big on it.

Picked up the Batman Anthology from my local Target (West Covina, CA) today. They had 4 copies when I got there.

Just FYI for any locals.

today was a GREAT day...

picked up smallville season 1 and 2 from Sam's for 15.28 each....
had a raincheck from target from the smallville sale a few weeks ago and the guy let me use the raincheck for the same percentage of smallville seasons 3 and 4 for 18.88 each...(they were still out of stock on season 1 and 2)
so ended up with all for seasons of smallville for 68.32 + tax...will get a $30 of rebates back (+$20 extra in rebates for seasons 9 and 10 of friends)...so after rebates all 4 seasons of smallville for 38.32 + tax (and $10 off each friends set)...

at target also picked up nightmare on elm street box for 37.99 + tax with a $5 giftcard...net of 32.99 + tax (we buy groceries at target once a week so a giftcard there is as good as cash to me)

then went to wherehouse music and picked up the batman anthology set for 56.99, it has a $15 mail in rebate, so end up with batman anthology for 41.99 + tax....

after rebates $113.30 + tax for batman anthology, four seasons of smallville and nightmare on elm street box set !!!

Only bad thing is....I think I have a DVD problem....must...get...help.......

So... for Batman Begins Walmart.com (out of stock) seems to be the cheapest price at $15.87 (also amazon...) but neither my Circuit City will pricematch that, and even Walmart will not pricematch that... where's all the deals at? I want to pick up Batman Begins Deluxe Edition...

Did you try getting a pricematch at Best Buy? That worked for me.

I just went to the WalMart site, and its looks like the two-disc deluxe edition is no longer listed. They're only listing the one-disc, full and widescreen. Guess I'm lucky I grabbed that when I did. I needed the printout for the pricematch.

SoonerDoc, did you see an advertisement about Wherehouse having a $15 rebate on the Batman Anthology? I always go through the Sunday ads carefully, and either there was no Wherehouse ad in my paper or the ad must've had the rebate well hidden.

I had to bug BB about their 10% policy.. they were just going to PM it at the customer service counter when I went over there. I just think they try to sneak it by you if they can!

Well, the extra 10 percent saved me 80 cents, so I wasn't too concernd about that. I was happy to get it for $8 less, and to get it at all.

The Deluxe url is still accessible: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4183924
I'll try calling BB and see if they will honor this price.

Best Buy did the pricematch of Walmart.com's price, got the deluxe edition for $15.87 (marked $22.99 in-store).
