Not been confirmed. One person denies it from the ads, though. It is totally possible he was making an off the wall prediction.
I guess we'll have to wait for the end of the week to find out. However, I'm edging closer towards buying the two movies from the Anthology that I want separately and Batman Begins Deluxe to save money for movies I like, rather than for movies I bought just because they were part of a boxset.

What do you think I could get for Batman & Robin on Ebay next week if I go the anthology route? Will the market be flooded?

Judging from the standard editions being bid on now, I would guess about $10 shipped. I also wouldn't bother making it a long auction. Maybe like 2-3 days.

If you put it up for sale immediately (like now - then ship it on Tuesday, for example), I bet you could easily get $15.00.

If I have to pay 20+ for the Deluxe Edition when the CC website has it advertised for 14.99, I'm gonna be pissed.

Looks like I'll keep my Amazon order for Batman Begins DE. I'll get Batman 1 & 2 SEs, Tarzan SE, Ferngully SE & Mask of Zorro DE/w free movie ticket at CC. I can't believe Zorro & Ferngully didn't get in anybody's ads though. Probably means the prices won't be too good.

Thanks to people who post these ads in advance because it helps me decide whether to wait and purchase on Tuesday, or pre-order online. My only request would be to post the CD prices, too, in the music forum. I'm trying to decide what to add to my Batman Begins purchase on Amazon to get free shipping, and would like Chris Botti's new CD, but don't know if it will come cheaper on Tuesday. Just a thought. Regardless, thanks to all of you.

So it's looking like the Target ad will come in handy at Best Buy for price match/Reward Zone.. Now I'm debating with Batman Begins on if it's worth the extra $7 for a lithograph at Circuit City compared to Amazon (at Amazon I'd have to get it to a $25 price anyway...).

Elektra and the Batman serials will probably have to wait until a later date.

I wonder what this BB "exclusive box art" for Batman Begins DE is all about. I doubt it will be worth the extra 7 bucks over the Amazon price, but it's interesting that it would be just box art.

Just got off the phone with a friend who works in the warehouse at a Best Buy. I had him take a look at the Begins: Deluxe set, to see what the box art looked like, and he said that all it was was a lenticular cover attached to the regular cover (you know, look at it from one angle, you see the profile of Batman; from another angle, you see a bunch of bats flying around).

Needless to say, I just put in my order with Amazon.

I just called my Best Buy and they said they will match Amazon's price "if they can verify it's the same item". So I should be good with a print out of the Batman Begins DE page, and they can check online if they need to. Hopefully Amazon's price holds up on Tuesday, so I can get all my shopping done at Best Buy:
Batman Bagins DE
Land of the Dead Unrated
Saw Uncut
The Big Lebowski
(maybe)Nip/Tuck Season 1

Do you think Best Buy will give me any trouble because of their "special box art", that they might claim it's a different item?

They have before for exclusive things. I can't remember if they claimed it was different because of a bonus disc or what. But I recall someone had a pm rejected for it. So, you might have trouble or you might not.

Good luck with price matching Amazon. IIRC Amazon usually raises their price from the low preorder price on release day. So if that happens I expect the Amazon price for the DE to go higher than BB's price.

cheap Dukes

Wow, this week was already denting my credit card with both the Batman Anthology box set and the DE of Begins...but now Best Buy goes and offers the first season of Dukes of Hazzard for only 15.99?
I had been able to hold off on it at the 19.99 sale price, since it could usually be found for not much more anyway (23-25 or so)...but at this sale price, I may just have to take a ride in the General Lee for nostalgic purposes once again...

Alright thanks. So I guess my options are:
1) Print out the Amazon page now and hope they accept it (if Amazon's price does change on Tuesday)
2) Print out Circuit City's pre-order page for it (14.99), and hope they accept that (if that price changes as well)
3) Just order it online tonight from Amazon.

Any advice?

You can save another $3 or $6 if you use the coupons that came with Cinderella. Perhaps:

Toy Story $16.99
Tarzan $16.99
= $33.98 - $6 (Combo Discount) - $6 ($3 off coupons) = $21.98 ~ $11 each.

I'm holding off until Sunday morning when I look at all the ads online. I'll make my choice then. If one of the stores offers a extra DVD then I'm going to get that. Otherwise probably just going to go with AMAZON. A film cell or lenticular cover isn't really enticing for me.

Amazon just got my order. I ordered BB: DE and a Primus CD. All for $25 and change. With my local taxes being raised; Im only paying about $1 more for a DVD and CD. Its like getting the CD for free. A CD I'll listen to a few times a month compared to a lithograph or bullshit slip cover that will be admired once and put away.
