If the BB deal is the DE version, I might go that route instead of preordering at amazon

When do we expect confirmation of the Best Buy deal so I can cancel my Amazon order before it enters Shipping Soon for all eternity.

I know, I hate that feeling (happened with Lost Season 1).

IF it's not true, then I might price match at CC and get the Litho. Ahh, decisions, decisions.

Even with Super Saver Shipping I dread going to Amazon in the next day or 2 and seeing the words "we have begun preparing items for shipment". Can't wait for confirmation of the Best Buy deal so I can cancel Amazon & have CC pm it since I don't have a BB but they're close enough to pm).

Although off topic, has it seemed that with Super Saving Shipping and since the end of Share the Love that the duration of "Preparing Items for Shipping" and "Shipping Soon" has just gotten longer and longer?

Best Buy should have all their deals up on their website tomorrow

Well if it helps any I saw next week's Sunday insert for BB last night at work and there is no package deal advertised. The single disc Batman Begins is $14.99, the Deluxe 2 disc is $22.99, the 2 disc SEs of the earlier films are all $17.99 each and there is no listing for a box set of the four SEs. Now they might post a deal on their online site but somehow I doubt it, this close to the release date.

I work for a local newspaper and have seen all of the Sunday inserts and none of them advertise the deal that MonsterMan mentions above. CC's ad shows the single disc as $14.99 and the deluxe 2 disc as $22.99 same as BB. Target only shows the single disc for $15.99 I think it was. I didn't give it much thought since I'm not interested in the single disc version. So to get the 2 disc at less than $20 you'll need to buy online. Oh and they're giving a lithograph away with the purchase at CC and exclusive slipcover art at BB.

Target is selling the anthology for $49.99 and CC is selling it for $52.99 with each movie going for $17.99 if bought separately.

So, if they offer the deluxe for $10, wouldn't tthey offer the non-deluxe for like $5 or less then? I guess we'll see when we get the BB ads

In the Best Buy circular, they didn't post a price for the Batman Anthology at all?

They'd be nuts not to advertise that boxed set.

Looks like I'm pricematching Target at CC for the Anthology and getting the lithograph with Batman Begins.

Well I can't say they have ALL package deals online (I don't often look), but they often have the buy 2 for $20 or buy one get another set so much off kind of deals online. I don't know if Best Buy had updated their website yet. Batman Begins is discounted, but nothing else I know of is and I don't see the Batman boxset. But I'm sure they update on Tuesdays most of the time, as I check virtually every Tuesday. And 95% of the time it is updated (although recently there have been a few lagging weeks)

I see $16.99 for the one-disc and $22.99 for the 2-disc.

The price for the upcoming releases usually update late Tuesday or on Wednesday prior to release date.

Package prices won't show up until Sunday.

I like how so many just accepted this as truth. I doubted this to begin with, but it looks like the ad is just proving it false. Maybe you got some bogus info, but as far as I've been told, it is in Christopher Nolan's contract that the earlier Batman films not be associated with his own as far as displays in-store go (or something like that), so why would they even have a package deal like that?

I don't know. Sounds a lot like wishful thinking to me.

It does sound like wishful thinking. I'm not sure about the rest, but when I caught word of Target low priced boxed set and the CC litho, I went ahead and decided to rely on the B&M stores for the best prices and promotions. I, too, had heard that WB and Nolan did not want to associate the two movies since the newest Batman is a new format and a new franchise. However, things change in Hollywood. I mean, the new movies ARE being released the exact same day.

In the meantime, the BB offer is still floating around as a longshot that would be great for fans of the Batman character. I think everyone was skeptical of this as truth (as was I - $60.00 for everything?) until confirmed from a few sources. I definitely still am, but will be pleasantly surprised IF it is confirmed.

For those that have a columbiahouse membership (fulfilled acct.) now is the time to get these. I received an email from ch yesterday saying b1g1f was the current deal, but when I clicked the link the deal was free shipping regardless of how many or few you order (including boxsets) and if you add 1 title that is more than 19.95 then the batman movies will be half price.
So, I ordered the following: Gladiator extended $22.77, Batman Begins deluxe ed. $12.48, batman se $10.48 and batman returns se $10.48.
Not bad at all IMHO.

no box set on BB's website???

While I would guess that they will have some in store next Tuesday (I can't imagine them not), if you go to Best Buy's website now, you won't even find the Anthology set for ordering!
I was curious to see what their current pre-order price was, since they would probably have changed it to next weeks in store price by now....but a search of "Batman" under movies showed only the new SE's available seperately, with no box set listed in any of the three pages returned...
I'm sticking with Amazon...I still had a $5 promo GC from that auto website survey to use, so I think my total of 62.96 delivered for the Anthology + Begins DE will remain my best bet...

Sadly, I hate being a collector ... I've got to have the Anthology the week it comes out. I was tacking on extra for shipping to have it by the weekend for a private viewing of the films.

Or else I'd be all over the Amazon Super Saver deal.

Best Buy's Web site (in your cart) has the single disc of "Batman Begins" at $14.99.

$22.99 for the two-disc version.

Looks as if I will buy the single disc...still deciding whether or not to buy the boxset anthology or just pick a couple up individually. Still deciding if I want "Batman Forever."

does anyone else think the packaging for the US version of anthology and more specifically, the individual discs, is just hideous? the silver ugly borders and changed font doesn't match batman at all; granted, i'm buying for the content but the packaging is just atrocious.

Well, Amazon began preparing my BB Deluxes (1 each for my nephew & I). Looks like they'll be shipping out a lot sooner than the projected Oct. 23rd that my order said (& arriving sooner than the 28th). I can't wait for them to get here.

Bestbuy.com now has the Anthology listed for preorder at 57.99 so it looks like the rumored price WAS too good to be true. ;(

I didn't purposely lie. I only shared with you the information that was given to me. Next time I'll wait til' the offical prices come out, instead of trusting my normally trustworthy source.

SORRY!!!
