Still haven't gotten my set yet. No GC, wither. Fucked in the ass by BB once again. Why don't I shop there regularly again? Remind me.

I guess I should be glad that I got the code even if I didn't get my dvds yet.
I think that they fixed the gift card glitch.

I got my digital coupon today as well

By the way, has anybody had any troubles with their disks? I'm halfway through the 4th disk (through episode 14) and both disks 3 and 4 have had spots where the sound just cuts out, or the disk freezes. I have to stop the dvd and restart it to get it to work right, happened maybe four times on disk three and once so far on disk 4. The backs of the disks look like mint condition.

Is this something I could return the disks to bestbuy (brick and mortor) and get the disks replaced? It wouldn't bother me too much except that I want to sell the set on ebay when I'm done, dont' want to have mad buyers.

If anyone is having trouble finding something to get with their Digital Coupon (since they expire so quickly), just order a $10 GiftCard. It's free ground shipping, and then you can spend that at your convenience.

Nevermind! It seems that they have changed their website to not allow DC's to be used for GiftCards anymore.. lame.

I didn't have any problems with any of the seven discs in my set. Probably one of the isolated sets that gets messed up through the logistics stream.

You can easily take it back to Best Buy with receipt and get another set.

Emailed them about the Lost $10 GC and another $20 GC they still owe me from May for buying PSP games. I got a reply of "4-6 weeks" for the Lost GC, and basically a "go f--- yourself" in regards to my other one I never received.

The 4-6 weeks is complete crap - I remember that the offer specifically had a date mentioned, sort of like how the current Desperate Housewives offer says:

Note: Your Digital Coupon code will be sent by e-mail on or about 9/23/05.

Well, send them another email or call them. Don't just bend over and take it. Threaten them that you will go and return both items and if they won't take them, that you will intiate a chargeback. Whether you will actually carry out that threat is for you to know and them to find out.

I got the same response. In 4 weeks it'll be more than 30 days. I'm thinking I'll just return it. Plus my Lost came damaged. The post office smashed it and tore the Lost box open. Right throught the hard plastic and cardboard and some of the discs!! I can't exchange without returning. What a crock!

BB has a history of screwing over folks on digital coupons. They never game me my $25 for Band of Brothers. Earlier this year I got Deadwood and instead of the $15 they only sent $5. When I called them on it they told me to mail corperate. In other words a big "piss off" to me.

I guess I'm glad I didn't go with the pre-order. I almost did, though. It's amazing how they can screw up a digital coupon.

I've only had 1 problem with Bestbuy.com and that was when they mailed me an empty box... well, it had the packing list and return instructions. When I called they said I had to wait 15 days and call again. I did and they sent my DVDs out registered.

The Best Buy exclusive bonus disc for Lost is selling consistently for about $35-40 right now on eBay. You could sell your bonus disc only and recoup the entire cost for the box set.

I'm tempted to buy a few more and sell them on ebay. My local stores still have a few with the bonus discs.

If you are interested in selling your bonus disk, I'd do it now. The going price now seems to be ~ $18 to $20, after shipping. Use a 1-day or 3-day auction.

I have an auction going for just the disk and sleeve (no Desperate Housewives coupon, and the disk is "used" though in mint condition), it's currently at ~ $15 plus $3 s&h with about 6 hours to go.

Well, honestly? Nothing. But the people bidding on it don't know that.

The only interesting thing I saw on the disk was the interview with the director / writer (I think that's who they were) which was just a few minutes long, they mentioned that on the islands there are lots of blues and greens and they purposely try to keep those colors out of the flashbacks.

In case anybody hasn't picked this up yet you can get it for $24.99 after a $20 MIR at cocnuts/strawberries B&M stores until tomorrow. I did that today and they screwed up printing out the MIR coupon so they just deducted the $20 for me straight away Got Stewie Griffin for $9.99 after MIR and Stephen King Children of the Corn 20th Anniv. Ed. for $4.99 after MIR also

Per disk? As in 7 x $12.95? That is a heck of a deal!

... for Hollywood Video. And you know that some people will pay those prices.

Huh? What are you saying? Someone made a mistake for you so we can benefit from it?

What? No, I benefitted from it, but since this thread is about the best price for Lost season 1 and some people might not have read the coconuts/strawberries thread I just posted the price here.
They are also running a halloween special which includes each individual Nightmare on Elm street movies for $1.99 after MIR.

I complained to the BBB about not receiving the bonus disc. They didn't have any left when I went to the store. I netted myself a $15 gift card. Thanks to the poster who suggested it.
