Does Overstock credit back the shipping difference between $1 and what shows on the checkout page?

I've cleared my cache, cookies, and history...and STILL see a more-than-$1 shipping charge when I try and checkout.

The used DVDs that I have received from Overstock.com have always been in fine playable condition (light scratches and the such may or may not be present however). The worst part, for me, is that they put stickers on the cases that are an absolute nightmare to remove, even with GooGone. I don't know if they do this anymore or not though. I haven't bought any used DVDs from them since way earlier this year.

So the stickers are just on the outside of the cases?

As far as I remember, yes. I don't think there were any stickers on the discs, but I could be wrong about that. It's not a huge deal, but it's just enough to piss some people off a lot.

I've ordered a number of the used discs from them, stickers are on the OUTSIDE of the case. Discs have ranged from almost perfect to EVER so slightly stratched. Any movie that should have come with a insert also came with one. They use to put more than one sticker on the cases, but the last one I ordered from them only had one and it was smaller than the ones I had got in the past and I was able to remove it without any googone and it left almost no residue.

Someone in the other thread said that they someone added the free shipping coupon while they had the $10 thing applied, and it deleted the $10 coupon. They had to call and go through a big mess to fix everything.

If you have the $10 coupon already, just accept that and don't worry about the $1 for shipping.

Adding the free shipping code doesn't delete the $10, it just puts it second in line....since the two can't be combined. Your next order will have the $10 there waiting for you.

Ugh that was a mess getting that free shipping straightened out, it finally got done but what a hassle...dont even try it :)

The problem with my checkout(see post above) was that Overstock somehow applied both a $10 and $1 coupon against my account....and it hosed their system so that it couldn't make the correct adjustments.

A call to their help line LATE last night not only fixed things, but for my trouble, they upped my coupon to a $20.

I received a shipping notice today. Yay!

Received today - not impressed at all with the quality. I'm sure they'll play just fine, but I'd be embarassed to sell them.

Mine were perfect, all came with inserts and the back of all discs looked pristine. My only complaint is with the stickers they put over the right side of the case, those don't pull off clean at all.

Mine were in good condition too, those stickers are bad though, lol. I just tossed out the old cases except for Cold Mountain, cleaned that one up since its a 2 discer. (Open Range didnt have the sticker)
