Highlander: The Immortal Edition, $7.99 at Suncoast B&M

This is the one with the tin slip case and the Queen "companion" CD. Couldn't find this on their website, so I'm guessing it's a B&M price. Also, $7.99 wasn't a sale price; it was the actual regular price sticker. Don't know if this is a store-wide deal or just store-by-store.

Regular Price is now $6.99 at Media Play B&M. Guess the MSRP was lowered.

A great big incredible - or should I say immortal - THANK YOU to Legolas for pointing this out! I just picked up The Immortal Edition at Media Play for $6.99! There's another VHS I can put away.

This price is even less than what you can get it for at DDD even with their 20 percent off sale!

The Media Play I went to had about four or five copies. That's the most stunning thing - a deal, a bargain, at Media Play!??!??? I never go there looking for bargains. Which is why I'm glad I saw this thread!

A question: I have two VHS copies of Highlander. One is the letterbox edition of the 10th anniversary Director's Cut.

Does the Immortal Edition DVD include the footage in the the Director's Cut? Or is it the theatrical cut?

It's whatever cut is 116 minutes. Nothing on the cover mentions director's cut or extended version, and none of the reviews says anything about that either, so it's probably just the original movie version.

I did find one review, at IGN IIRC, that said the Immortal Edition DVD is the director's cut. It specifically mentioned it including the WW II footage, and the additional information about Nash's secretary. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, obviously.

At least with this they figured out how to do a metal case that doesn't shred the keepcase inside ala T2.
