I'm think you might benefit from lurking a bit more and actually reading the threads to learn the dynamic of the forum. Otherwise, you might continue to get flamed and make ignore lists.
|
Stop asking questions.
you want to know why this thread is frowned upon? Because everyone likes and looks forward to the DDD sale. When you start a thread titled "deepdisountdvd summer sale?", it will cause every member of this forum to click on the thread thinking there might be news here. IT WASTES EVERYONE'S TIME. You don't need a FAQ thread to cover common sense. When you join a forum (any forum) spend the first couple of weeks actually READING. You don't have to search, just read. Don't just hop in and start asking questions. If you would have spent a few hours reading threads you would have seen multiple threads like this started by other knobs. Stew |
Hope so, I have lots to catch up on and I'm willing to go into debt for it.
P.S. - Lighten up guys, you needed something to do anyway. Besides, at least you didn't get dumped by your hot young asian girlfriend today, so everyone can just fuck off. :grunt: Sorry, had to vent. |

The point everyone's trying to make to you is that it is inappropriate to ask about something that no one has any details on. It's one thing to ask for the best price on something because then you'll potentially have a few replies with links to good prices. But starting a new DDD sale thread just causes more speculation and eyerolling and no one can ever provide any concrete information on it. Sure, they *might* have a sale soon. But none of us knows that, so starting up a new thread each week to ask something that no one knows about is a waste of space. When DDD has a sale, it is usually the most widely-posted-to thread on this forum for weeks. If it's not on the front page of the Bargains forum with 5,000 replies, then they're not having a sale. It's that simple. Creating a thread to ask a question about discussing the speculation on the possibility that there potentially might be a theoretical sale within a speculative period of time is bad. Okay? Again, these fall within the realm of "No one knows for sure." I really wouldn't press the issue anymore if I were you since some people here have a shorter fuse with these threads than others. Just accept that your search wasn't thorough, it's bad DVDTalk netiquette to ask about DDD sales, and there will be a massive thread about it the second it does happen.

Dont' sweat it... Welcome to the forum. But you now have to post a hot dvd deal within a week or your account will self-destruct.
|
Actually a search for Deep Discount dvd will result in over 500 results using either form of search available on this site. The last sale was in June/July depending on whether the accidental sale counts. IF they have one this year, it will likely be around the same time since their winter sale occurred approximately one year after the previous sale.

Woohoo, first time I get in before they lock it. Moderators must be taking a nap today. Usually these threads are locked within the first 10 posts.

I'm amazed the thread hasn't been locked. A day off for the moderators?

Hey - at least the thread title had a question mark! Many past threads inquiring about the 20% off sale don't even have that.
Just trying to look on the bright side of things :) |
sigh....as everyone has so "kindly" explained..threads as to asking when a sale will be, is, unfortunately pointless. when there is one, everyone will know it..
