Since they cancelled one of my orders without notice, they sent me a free shipping coupon that I will not be using, since it expires on April 30 and the sale ends today. It's one time use only, so please post if you use it.

If more than one person used the free shipping coupon then it wasn't one time use. What was the coupon code?

This was the first and last time I order from them. Not only did they not have half of the things I ordered in stock, but my order is completely messed up. I ordered the Beavis & Butt-head Halloween/Christmas special. Instead, I got a different B&B-H DVD all together; one I have zero interest in. On top of that, I take the DVD out of the box and I can hear the disc rattling around inside. Then, my Magnificent Seven DVD is also going all over the place when I take it out of the box. I take off the plastic, open it up and to no surprise, there are scuffs and scratches all over the disc. I'll be emailing them about a return, but I'm absolutely turned off from ever buying from this place again.

yeah, those stickers on the dvds (under the re-shrinkwrap) are really a pain. Also there were tears in the covers on a few of mine from other stickers having been removed poorly.

A couple of years ago I wrote a very long letter to Secondspin
with suggestions on how they could improve their shipment
of dvd's. I even enclosed pics and example with a order
I was selling them. All they had to do was put something
inside the dvd cases. And that would solve so many complaints.
But alas Nada. Its sort of like dealing over in the dvd trade
forum. Some traders ship box sets in bubble mailers
and do not put anything inside the cases.

Anyways..I now only sell to them. If you notice any dvd's
with 2 pieces of bubblewrap with a hole cut in them.
Those are probably mine. Unless they removed it
before shipping out.

For a suggestion-complaint like that, you are probably better off mailing it to the office of the CEO. His secretary might actually forward it to someone who cares, but mail sent to any of their regular customer service addresses is more than likely to go into the circular file. This is TWEC and they have such crappy processes at all levels of the company that you just can't count on them doing anything right.

Should I just call; anyone had any experiences with returns with these guys? I've still gotten no response. Wow, bad product, lousy customer service. I'm definitely done with these morons.

They advertised Bride of Re-Animator SE and sent me the cheapie full frame instead. 48 hours, no response from e-mail CS.

Edit: They just sent me an e-mail crediting me for the total amount of the DVD plus telling me to keep it. If I wanted a refund I'd have to return it, but I figure I can find somewhere on that site to spend 15 bucks.

Yeah i wasn't too excited w/ the condition some of my stuff came in.
As picky as they are when I send them stuff (only accepting mint and perfect items) I recieved items that don't meet that same criteria.

Pain in the butt stickers, on boxsets, cd cases, broken digipaks, etc.

If you are looking for some Criterions, believe it or not, Ultimate Electronics has some -- even at their out-of-business sales. I saw atleast one I can remember, but I was just quickly scanning the DVD's to see what was there, so I do NOT know how many or which may be there. Because of this forum and the intro herein to it, the Criterion label stuck out to me and due to the "exclusivity" (IMHO) of the Criterion, it was surprising to me to see them in an Ultimate Electronics of all places.

YMMV.
