Thank you! I have been looking for those movies that came before the series on DVD, and at that price plus the 13 episodes of s1 I could not resist.

Now most onlines stores carry it for under $20, but DDD is still the best deal...

Got this wonderful set this evening. I always thought Hercules was a better program than Xena, so naturally I'm glad to get this set for such a decent price. I'm looking forward to the GOLD COIN included in the set as well as ordering the letter opener. Thanks OP!

What! That's blasphemy!!!

I own the entire Xena series and wasn't going to bother with Hercules (which I did watch...I just didn't care for it as much). But, at this price, I ordered it. I got a notice that it's been shipped, so I do look forward to seeing this again

Looking forward to this - mine shipped from DeepDiscount last Friday, but since I opted for the free shipping, it may take longer than one of the Legendary Journeys to actually reach me.

Definitely blasphemy. Xena is superior. Not that Hecules is bad or anything, but Xena is definitely better.

The price makes this set hard to pass up. I'm not sure if I'm going to just buy the first season from DDD or buy all of the seasons direct. They're pretty cheap when you buy them all direct.

What do you mean by "buy them all direct?" Are you talking about buying the bundled series? If so, it's still cheaper to buy individually from DDD. If you're talking about something else, please share.

On DDD you can get all of the Hercules seasons for about $203.99. You can get same 6 seasons + 5 movies in a Hercules collector's edition library box set for just $179.99 at www.legendaryheroes.com. You don't get the library box from DDD.

Also, the Xena collector's edition library box set was only $199.99 at Legendary Heroes. On DDD all 6 Xena seasons come to $269.94 and you don't get the cool Xena library box that holds all six seasons. Free S&H too on all of Legendary Heroes' sets.

BTW, Legendary Heroes also sells the library boxes by themselves for just $1.00. No S&H either. Pretty amazing.

FWIW - IF DDD does their 20% off coupon in the next two months, that $204 will become about $162 (+ $1 for the box).

No problem, Mhepburn20.

About the possibitlity of a DDD 20% off sale. You still don't get all 5 movies. For just $16.99 extra (during a 20% DDD Sale) you would also get the 5 Hercules movies from Legendary Heroes. 5 movies for the price of 1 regular DVD movie is quite a deal, so I believe Legendary Heroes still comes out on top as the having the better deal even if DDD has a 20% off sale. That's my opinion anyway. I guess it really depends if the 5 movies is worth the extra $16.99.

Xena, on the other hand, will still be about $16.00 at LH.

Oops. I had no clue that they were included with season 1 (didn't read the original post details on the set and didn't see the movies listed on DDD under the season 1 set, but then again I might have been reading too fast). It would be a great deal when DDD has their 20% off sales, but no telling how long it'll before they have another one of those sales.

I may go ahead and pick up season 1 from DDD. I guess I could just resell season 1 if I ever decide to get the entire library box set.
