I price matched at best buy with wal-mart for 14.77, used the $3.00 off coupon and got the free Thumper Bunny. $11.77 total before tax, not bad.

I used a black and white copy of the coupon at Walmart with no problems. Thanks to the original poster for bringing this to our attention.

I used the coupon at TRU with no problems. $9.06 total - not including the $5 pre-order, but I used the $10 GC I got for preordering.

Where is it listed for 14.77 at wal-mart. Just checked the site and its listed as $15.87. Was it in the circular?

Wal-Mart's prices are always a HUGE YMMV. It could be 14.77 at one Wal-Mart, and the one 10 minutes away might have it for 19.77. I never find good prices at Wal-Marts around here.

Same here regarding my local Walmarts. Their price on Bambi was $17.27.

I took the $3 printed coupon to Best Buy and they let me have it off Bambi and I also got the plush doll. The coupon scanned but it came up as 1 cent on the register. The cashier got a manager & they corrected the price to $3 off. The manager looked over the coupon but never said a word. I was sweating it for a minute or so.

$12.99 Bambi, Best Buy points, and the plush doll! Thanks to the original poster and for the scan!

No problems at the Oceanside Best Buy. Price at Walmart next door was 12 cents difference, so I went for the Thumper toy. My daughter will be happy!

Thanks to OP for the coupon scan!!!!

I went to a BBY by my job (westchester county in NY) after work today and used a color printout of the coupon. It scanned (after the new employee asked for a veteran's help) but it came up as a 1 cent coupon. they manually punched in the $3 but it was taken off AFTER taxes. As another poster said, no complaints since it worked!

I am going to return my other purchase tomorrow.

THANKS OP FOR THE SCANS.

since this is a manufacturer's coupon, you're supposed to get the discount after taxes. If it's a store coupon, they're supposed to give you the discount before taxes.

No problems at my BB today (Manhattan, 23rd St.), though I sadly missed out on the Thumper plush. Oh well. Thanks, OP!

A B&W copy of the coupon worked like a charm at Target. The girl scanned the barcode and the register correctly showed the -$3.00 coupon.

It's so true with WalMart on YMMV prices but also how they will handle a coupon. I took a b&w copy of the coupon to one store and after waiting 10 minutes for the cashier to come back, the answer was not to honor the coupon because it was a copy. It took it to another WalMart store and the guy just scanned it and it worked.

I probably should have gone to BB for the disk and get the doll as well but the convienence factor came into play. For 12 bucks and change I have no real complaints.

Nor should you. The YMMV prices is that Wal-mart will screw you over depending where you live. In Norwalk, CT Wal-mart first week prices usually suck. I usally only go there to pricematch when convenient or if something else needs to be picked up. Bambi was 17.78 there this week.

CC and BB may have their own problems but at least they have consistent prices coast to coast.

Thanks A LOT majorjoe23 -- Another success story

Thank you very much majorjoe23!!! I posted in the TRU Bambi/Incredibles deal thread, but I'll post it here too. I went to TRU to pickup the "Bambi" portion of this pre-order deal and was able to PM to BB and get the $3 coupon-scan discount. Paid $7.99 at the register, which means as long as I can PM "the Incredibles" to $17.01 or less I will make out with paying at the most $10 per DVD. That $3 coupon has made a lot of people happy!!

I'm late to the party, but I just saw the $3 coupon in my new Incredibles DVD and wondered what the best B&M deal (in the L.A. area) is currently.

$14.99 at Target (after coupon)

I found myself in the same situation, after missing the Bambi release date. The best B&M deal I found this week is at Target, for $17.99 (down to $14.99 w/coupon).

If you have time to check your local Walmart's, you may find something better, but there's no guarantees...

Another option is to wait, since the coupon is good till 9/30/05, and I am almost certail it will go on sale for under $15 before then.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll go on sale again.....the coupon IS good for a long time. I really have no desire to buy Bambi, but I may just for collectible reasons. And who knows....maybe when I have kids they will enjoy it.

Yeah. I missed the Bambi release date and am looking for a good deal now. It seems that the slipcover is really limited too. The newer batches are without the slipcover.
