Anatomy SE: $5.50 Wal-mart bin!

Sorry if this has been posted, but it is a great deal. DDD is selling it for $19.14, Amazon for $22.46, and even Wal-mart's on-line has it for $21.35. Don't know if it was a mistake, but there were about 20 copies in the bin in the Portland, OR store. Not a bad movie, and Franka Potente is always good to look at!

Yerp, this one's been around for awhile. Since before last Halloween.

Still a great deal though.

I bought it out of the Walmart bin a week or two ago. It was a blind buy and I had no idea that it was such a good deal. I still haven't gotten around to watching it yet though.

I bought it at Walmart before last Halloween and still haven't watched it either, so don't feel so bad!

I just watched it a few weeks ago. Nice DVD for the price. I did NOT realize that it was filmed in German. There is an English sound track however. I forgot how awkward it is to watch a movie with dubbed dialogue.

I knew it was in German, but I didn't know about the English sound tracks. The only reason I haven't watched it yet is cuz I haven't been in the mood to read subtitles. Now I'll have to give it a try. Did Franka Potente do her own English on the soundtrack?

I don't think so. I listened to a bit in German and the voice is different.

I picked this up as a blind buy, not knowing it was much more expensive in other stores. Like others here, I haven't watched it either. Last night while going through the $5.50 bin, I did notice a few titles, new to my area at least. They had "Confidence", "To Wong Foo", "What Dreams May Come", "St. Elmo's Fire", and about 10 others that hadn't been there too long. YMMV.

It really is. I picked it up, considering it's at least $10-15 in most other stores.

There are definitely some jewels among the crap. I just sold a sealed copy of Return of the Pink Panther I bought from Walmart for $5.50 - for 10 times that on Amazon. Also got Incredible Adventures of Wallace and Gromit which is going for big money - I listed it at $85 a couple nights ago, but will probably have to drop to $70-75 to sell.

Note - I did not originally buy these with the intention of reselling for profit - just got lucky. I did find another RotPP in the dump bin long after it was out of print and fetching good money.

There was an occasion a few months ago when Still Crazy and Anatomy first showed up in the dump bin that DVDs123.com was paying ~$11 for them. I bought 3 copies of each (the maximum you can sell them without manual authorization, which might have alerted them to the price drop). Before I could sell them, their database went down for updating - and when it came back up, the price had dropped below $6. (I returned all but one copy of each).

Add the Devil's Advocate to the movies found in the dump bin at Wal-Mart.
