I would jump on the coupon as they don't usually have coupons at all. 20% is pretty good.

I received the same email but it also had this message included:
, we're going to give you a $50 head-start towards your $199 goal. When you log-in at FoxStore.com, you'll see that we have given you a $50 bonus towards the total - which means you only have to accumulate $149 in purchases between now and June 30, 2005.

To get your $50 head-start, click here, and set-up your FoxStore.com account, using the email we contacted you at. Once you have set-up your account, you'll see a $50 head-start credited towards you $199 goal.
I logged in, and the $50 credit was there. Hopefully some of y'all got this as well.

But, I hate spending $200 now and then some time before June 30th I find a better deal that would have saved me more. What's the verdict? Strike while the iron's hot or hold off and hope it gets hotter?

IMO you should go for it now.
If the 50% coupon shows up (if ever) it will definitely be after the current promotion ends.

Ok, now all I need is $13.16 (I think its counting my replacement orders (got a damaged case on Wonderfalls and AVP)). I have no idea how to get this to work though. I added Napolean Dynamite and 24 Season 3 and it still wants to charge me full price right on up to the "place order" page...can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong here?

I picked up:

1. Shield: Season 2 (DVD)
Price: $47.98 x Quantity: 1 = $47.98

2. Angel Season 5 (DVD)
Price: $47.98 x Quantity: 1 = $47.98

3. Futurama: Volume 4 (DVD)
Price: $35.95 x Quantity: 1 = $35.95

4. Wonderfalls (DVD)
Price: $31.98 x Quantity: 1 = $31.98

5. Alien Quadrilogy (DVD)
Price: $0.00 x Quantity: 1 = $0.00

Item Subtotal: $ 163.89
Sales Tax (CA/AL only): $ 0.00
Shipping & Handling: $ 3.95
Coupon Code (FREAKINKING) - $ 36.73
----------
Total: $ 131.11

Considering I was already going to buy Angel (Seaseon 5) this week for $40, in essence I picked up the other 4 titles for about $90. I will then eBay the Alien box-set since I already have one and make the deal even better.

I just recieved shipping confirmation and was apparently not charged for Millemium Season 2, dropping my total down another $48. The charge has not shown up on my credit card statement yet so I'll see in a few days what the final charge was. This deal is getting better all the time.

Did a quick price check/search on Angel sets (they are for the wife) and figured what the heck and ordered .
I was gonna get Season 5 (pre-order) as the "freebie" but since it's $39.99 at most stores on Tuesday I figured I would get the Aliens Quadrilogy that was $75 (rather than the $47 Angel set) .

Angel: Season 2 DVD 1 $47.98
Angel: Season 3 DVD 1 $45.95
Angel: Season 4 DVD 1 $47.98
Spacecraft Films Megapack DVD 1 $135.98
Alien Quadrilogy DVD 1 $0.00

Item Total: $277.89
Sales Tax (CA/AL Only): $0.00
Shipping Costs: $3.95
Coupon Code (FREAKINKING): - $59.53

Order Total: $222.31

Perhaps the Spacecraft combo could be had less elsewhere and it also had a "bundle" coupon which I could not figure out how to use with the freaking coupon so I figured the 20% off was better
Been wanting the Spacecraft moves for a while but they were expensive and I had no "bonus" for buying them .
I think the bundle coupon was like $4 off so no big loss .

Could you please post the link to this offer with the $50 already in your account? That's an even better deal!!!

Also, I noticed something very cool. planetaire and Big Dave got the $75 free gift when their PRE-FREAKINKING-DISCOUNT went above $149!!! They both ACTUALLY paid less than $149 and still got the free gift. I had to get my POST-FREAKINKING-DISCOUNT to hit $199 before I could get the free gift. It looks like planetaire and Big Dave made out GREAT!! Could either one of you PLEASE post the link that you used???

Since this coupon seems to be a glitch, I would recommend not waiting until they fix it.

I got:
$79.95 X-Files Season 4
$79.95 X-Files Season 5
$55.98 24 Season 3
$47.98 Roswell Season 2
$0.00 24 Season 2

$3.95 shipping
-$56.72 coupon
$211.09 TOTAL or average $42 a box set. I consider that a decent price for '24' and 'Roswell' and awesome price for 'X-Files'.

I am not sure how I get the extra discount to work, the only link I clicked was the first one in the post, at which point I logged into an account that I already had on the site. Seeing that I might get an extra 20% off, I closed out of that window and clicked the FREAKINKING link and was able to get both discounts. I am not sure what triggered everything to work together.

I think the extra 50 is on a per-account basis..maybe if you registered before the sale but never purchased ..or something like that..I made a purchase before from them...I registered a new account to see if I could get the extra 50 off but no go ..

I see. It looks like you got the EXTRA bonus for being an EXTRA loyal customer by purchasing stuff in the past. Still, if they do these sales more often and treat others who buy stuff from them the way you were treated (with the $50 head start) they will be getting my business and I'm sure others will give them business as well with the STL discount defunct and it's actually better than the DDD 20% off sale (which is only twice a year anyway). Keep it up FOX!!!

Type in FREAKINKING in the checkout window (not the cart window but the one after the cart window). Follow the directions in post #7 as well by I.Flores because the coupon was designed to work when purchasing Family Guy: The Freakin Sweet Collection or King of the Hill: Season 3. Basically, put one of them in your cart, proceed to checkout, enter FREAKINKING in the coupon box and hit enter, remove whichever one you entered from your cart and then add whatever you want. That's what I did and it worked fine.

thanks for the help. got the FREAKINKING coupon to work. is there a way to combine that with the free shipping coupon? also, is the $200 minimum calculated based on post coupon total or pre-coupon total?

I don't think you can combine the coupons -- I didn't see a way to do it when I made my purchase. As for the $200 amount, mine was calculated AFTER the 20% discount but it looks like the two people in here who got the bonus $50 also only had to get $150 worth of stuff BEFORE the 20% discount, so I'm not sure what you will need to do. I am guessing you'll need to get to $200 AFTER the 20% discount has been applied like most everyone else in here.

Wait for checkout to apply the feakinking. This way you only have to buy $160 worth to get the free dvd.

I just placed an order using the 20% code, and it seemed to take the 20% off, and give me free shipping!

My pre-coupon total was $249.85. The coupon took off $51.92. By my calculatiton, 20% of $249.85 is $47.97. $51.92-$47.97=$#.95 which was the shipping charge on the order. $191.88 is a great deal for X-Files S2-4 and Alien Quadrilogy.

I don't know if this was already mentioned before, but you can make the free DVD deal work with the $200.00 BEFORE applying the 20% coupon.
Just add $199.00 worth, add the free DVD, THEN apply the FREAKINKING coupon.
I did this with 4 Simpsons seasons and 1 Futurama.
Got these 5 plus the free Alien quadrilogy for $159.80 plus shipping.
I'll just sell the Quadrilogy on eBay for $50/$55 and and the price for each boxset will be just above $20.00

I wonder what took them so long to pull the coupon. They must have gotten tons of orders already.
