Hah, the last one made me laugh. "Generator Gawl Vol 1" has actually gone up from $19.99 with ($29.99) beside it.

Most of these are the same things we're seeing on sale everywhere else, including the Fye sale, and lots of people on ebay. Only a handful are actually better prices than the Fye sale.

Also note that some prices are different depending on whether you buy it straight from the sale page, or go to the individual titles' page. Sometimes the first is cheaper, sometimes the latter.

Yeah there is some overlap with the FYE sale, but if your local FYE isn't willing to order anything in and you don'y have many other stores to check this is a nice alternative. I ordered Kaleido Star Vols 4-6 for $14.99 each, which only vol 4 is in the FYE sale amd they're got going that cheap on ebay. The southern Cross box is $24.99 $5 less than the FYE sale.

Or if you don't have a local FYE... like me.

Yeah, this was great; I picked up the first 11 discs of Dunbine and the Southern Cross collection, all for $100. Too bad they didn't throw Rahxephon in there as well.

If you click on the Kaleido Star box link to the details page, there's an option to add it to your cart for $10.98

You can also get the King of Bandit Jing: Vol. 1 + box for $2 less than on the sale page by adding it from the details page.

Theres some talk of this over on animeondvd, someone from ADV is posting there, basically the prices are all contained in the URL's and there are some errors like that where the wrong price will appear in other areas. That would just be a mixup with Vol 1 and Vol 1 with box. They are going to manually inspect all the orders to verify the correct prices are charged so while theres a chance something like that might slip by, don't be surprised if you are charged the extra $2 or $3

They are going to get themselves in trouble if they start charging more than the buyer agreed to. That's fraud. As the studio itself, they must normally be so overpriced that they do close to no business through their webstore if they are so inexperienced as to think they can get away with changing the terms of the sale after the customer has already accepted them.

The best they can legally do is inform the customer of the difference and allow them to make the decision to accept the new price or reject the sale.

I picked up the Vol 1 + Box for Kaleido Star, Kino's Journey, and Angelic Layer. Not a bad little sale.

I got

Kaleido Star Vol 1+Box
Dirty Pair Flash Collection
Arc the Lad Collection

Great deals! But I have a question to anybody who has ordered from ADV before. How fast is their shipping and do their products arrive well protected?

Has anyone else who ordered from ADV not gotten an email confirmation yet? I did get the order confirmation screen when I placed the order, so I assume everything is fine with it, but was curious about the lack of email.

Has anyone who ordered the Lain set from RightStuf got a shipping notice yet?

I got this in the email from them a few days ago:
Unfortunately we are unable to ship your complete order due to the unforeseen demand for the item listed below, or your item is not yet released:

Quantity Item Description Amount
1 PD11608 Lain, Serial Experiments DVD $29.99

We receive shipments of items from our suppliers every day, and your item is on order with the manufacturer. We hope to be able to fill your order promptly.
And I believe I ordered when they had at least 30 or so left.
