Resident Evil: Apocalypse $10 at Target

Didn't see it in the ad and the employee was surprised at the price that he didn't believe me until he saw the corporate sign with the info and price listed right under the movie. It scanned at $19.99 though but he gave it to me at $10 because of the sign. He later said he was getting one for himself.

Thanks for the info, RUN-DvdMC -- got one at my local Target. Huge YMMV here, as it does appear to be a definite printing mistake on the shelf tags. Found the shelf tag (it *does* say Resident Evil: Apocalypse) sitting below RE: DE (last edition of the first RE movie) among the other $10 (now normally $13.78) titles, didn't see Apocalypse, so took the shelf tag to CS for a rain check. Girl punched the item number in off the shelf tag, rain check printed out... and it was for RE: DE. Told her that was a different dvd than the one named on the shelf tag, supervisor was there and wrote in "Apocalypse" on the rain check, printed her name and the date, told me to come back when they had that one in stock and I could get it for $10. Took one last pass by the dvd section on the way out... and there were a couple dozen copies of Apocalypse, on the end cap with other new releases (Of course -- DOH!). Anyway, took one back to CS and the same girl rang it up (had to override the $19.99 it rang up for), said it was a mistake and they weren't going to put the shelf tag back out (oops!). So I got one, after a little work (was it really worth it for this particular movie? Probably not, but I was there anyway for cold medicine etc....).

YMMV!

Hey thanks for the heads up. The tag is clearly for the first Resident Evil but it does say Apocalyspse on there! Got mine for $10.70!

My local Target was completely out of Resident Evil: Deluxe Edition and for the second week in a row, not putting out the tags for rainchecks.

Resident Evil Apocalypse scanned at $19.99. Oh well...

I brought both Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse to the register at electronics. (I purposely didn't want to go to the mail checkout cause I know it will scan at $19.99 and they'd have to check)

The guy scanned the first RE ($10) and scanned the second RE ($19.99). I told him about the tag, we walked over to the tag, he did a double take and said "I need to get one for myself." I told him that there's only one copy left and grabbed it for him. I paid $20.00 plus tax for both.

Now I have to go and return the two I purchased at BB the other week for $25 and get my $5 difference back.

the tag they had up at my target read "Resident Evil" and underneath it in italics said "Special Edition". Oh well it was worth a shot.

When I first read this I thought you bought the cashier a copy.

I was at Target earlier today, and I noticed a sign that said Apocalypse $10 at Target (but all they had under the sign was the original Resident Evil). Now, if they would have had the new ones under the sign I probably would have jumped on it.

Someone at Target's gonna get fired, first they mis-print Good, Bad, and Ugly SE for $7.50, now RE:A for $10!

And why didn't you grab a copy of Apocalypse and put it where the sign is ?
Then buy a separate one for yourself and if the cashier needs to confirm he will see that there is an apocalypse and under the sale sign.

------

For everyone the sign is on the Resident Evil Deluxe Edition NOT on the Apocalypse 2 Disc Version!

it doesn't matter where the sign is. If the sign says "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" then that's the item that's on sale. When I picked up mine, I grabbed mine from a different location (without the sale tag/sign) and then I grabbed the first Resident Evil" (with the tag/sign). The computer automatically scans the first RE at $10 but scans the second RE at $19.99. You just have to point to the sign and they make the adjustment at the register.

the guy that made the adjustment didn't even have to call anyone over to okay it or confirm it.

Resident Evil Apocalypse DE

Picked up two last night. Picked up the RE Apocalypse DE and took it to the electronics desk. I had some rainchecks for the after-thanksgiving sale so I got those dvds and the RE DE and acted surprise when the price came out to $19.XX for it. I told the person their that the tag said RE Apocalypse DE and not RE SE. He didn't want to do it but my friend jumped in and said why not, thats the price on the tag. So he called the manager looked at it and said ok, so how many copies are you taking? Nice find OP.
