Thanks for the prices, I'll probably be picking up The Village, Futurama and a couple of the $6.99 movies.

Awesome price on Once Upon A Time. Otherwise, I might grab The Fifth Element next week (I think I might be one of the few left who doesn't have one of the many DVD variations of that film on the market).

Thanks for the prices!

If there isn't a cheaper price on Leon I might have to roll by Circuit City this week. Great price on Once Upon A Time in The West, will definitely have to grab that.

I can't believe OUATITW is $6.99! That's an insane price for one of the best discs ever produced!

Thanks, Tone Loc!

That is a mighty tasty price on Once Upon a Time in The West. I've been holding out on it because I knew that it was usually around the $11.99 price range -- seems like a reliable back-up purchase when I have a dvd fix.

For $6.99, however, that warrants a trip to CC to pick it up.

Tony,

Can't fault you for picking up a "must have" movie like that at it's retail value peak. I can't remember how many times I picked up a movie a few months before a significant price drop. One example that immediatly comes to mind -- only because I was there to witness it at Target last week -- was So I Married an Axe Murderer. I picked this up for $19.99 at Best Buy. I had waited FOREVER for a price drop. Finally, it did. I believe it was $14.99 there.

However, during the post-Christmas sales, I wandered in at Target and saw it there for $7.50 (and it wasn't the lamer new FULLSCREEN versions that they've been doing with certain dvds -- like the movie Big).

But, then I think of how many times it comforted me in my time of need since I made that purchase.

I am not trying to sound like a "ass", but I purchased OUATITW at BB when it was part of a 3 for 20 deal! Back then (late spring or summer) nobody said anything about OUATITW being a great buy. I think I pickup some 12 movies during that 3 for 20 deal. Anyway, there is no doubt in my mind that for 6.99 it is a great buy. For those of you who purchase it, enjoy!

That one caught my eye as well. Haven't seen it though... worth a look? I like Darabount and Carrey's non-Carrey work.

IMO...excellent flick. Good story and great acting...not only by Carrey, but by some fabulous secondary actors (Martin Lando, James Whitmore, etc...). It's defitinely made in the mode of a Frank Capra style film.

For what it's worth, Leon was only $14.95 at my CC.
