Gamestop combo

You can get new releases for as low as 8 dollars, YMMV.

First you take advantage of buy 2 get 1 free on used DVDs. So if you find 3 dvds you don't really care to see, which incidentally will be the ones that are priced at 4.99 or even 3.99 each...you can buy 3 for less than 10 dollars.

Then, you can turn those in for a reservation on very good not yet released movies, as advertised in another thread on here.

The second best part is, you can do it all in one trip if the employee is cool, if not I guess you have to walk outside, then walk back in.

Ok, the best part is with the sign advertising which companies a dvd has to be from to be credited towards a new release is right in front of you. You don't have to worry about buying a DVD that won't count!

Hmm, interesting, I didn't even think about that. It's a pretty good idea, but I usually don't see any titles under the 7.99 mark, but I guess I should check more carefully. Are you aware of any $4.99 and below titles that Gamestop frequently carries?

Unfortunately not tonight. Using both deals together didn't really occur to me until I was halfway home, and tonight I was looking for keepers so most of those cheaper DVDs weren't of interest. I'll go again after the holiday and report back.

This of course will still vary store by store.

I never thought of that either, and I've traded in 3 DVD's for new releases quite a bit lately... I'll have to take a look...

I was just going to do this a couple days ago when they wouldn't take Frankenfish for my third trade-in dvd.

I found quickly Matrix Reloaded and Heartbreakers at $4.99. The Gamestop I visited had a special section of movies under $10.
