Also, remember to MAXIMIZE your shipping.

Think if you order 4, your average is about $12.50 per title

Question, though: Their website states these are "Region 3" -- I'm not *that* familiar with the region thing (I know U.S. is Region 1, region-free supposed to = can play in any dvd player (?)); can somebody explain what's up? Thanks.

Edit: Another question: Anybody know when they charge you for pre-orders? Can't find anything on the website. Thanks again.

Their payment gateway charges you immediately.

They are not bootlegs. The titles are marked Region 3,but they will play in Region 1 players. Cdwow had a Superbit sale about year with the Region 3 HK titles.

Koreandvds usually has this sale about once year.

I purchased Black Hawk Down Superbit deluxe and Bram Stoker's Dracula about 6 months ago. Both play in my Panasonic XP30 player. As far as SuperBits go I don't think the regional coding is actually region 3, but region 0.

As far as the bootleg question, mine were not bootlegs. My one experience with the company was pleasant and professional. I would not hesitate to order again. That's why I dropped into this thread to see if there was something to tempt me.

Superbits labeled Region 1 (US & Canada), 3 (HK/Korea/Asia) Or 4 (Brazil) NTSC are coded region 0 making it playable on R1 players.

Here's Bill Geiger's thread on CDwow's R3 superbits sale. Should answer everyone's question.

Those are Region 3 dvds. You need a region free player to watch them.

If I remember correctly from another Koreandvds thread earlier this year, the 2nd disc in the Spider-Man Superbit is not region-free. The extra discs in the Black Hawk Down set (highly recommended) are region-free (or at least 1, 3, and 4).

WRONG. WRONG.

These are NTSC superbits, and while the packaging says R3, they are in fact R1, R3, and R4 (the NTSC regions).

Nor are they bootlegs, but they DO have korean writing on the spines, if that sort of thing bothers you.

candyrocket786 was talking about the non-Superbit Resident Evil and Hulk titles mentioned by kar10.

Are we sure that they're not bootleg copies? Do you know how to tell the difference between official vs. bootleg? Bootlegs are supposed to be pressed professional like the official ones. Is there an official site from Superbit that stated that they released them to Korea as well?

Can someone please confirm? As a collector, I HATE bootleg copies of movies. Music bootleg is okay since it's rare to find them.

It seems the thread from the koreandvds Superbit sale back in May was lost during the site upgrade. If anyone can find it, that thread would answer a lot of the questions that have been and will be posed here.
