Fry's Ads 12/3-7

Here's the entertainment software listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - San Diego, Sacramento, Austin, Houston, NV, AZ, OR, IL, GA), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. We have noticed that the Dallas Morning News and SJ Mercury News often run very similar ads. Also, the Chicago ads are often similar to the Seattle ads. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all four (DFW, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

Ad updates:
DFW, LA, WA: Fri-Mon, Weds
SJ: Everyday

I'm heading there at lunchtime (about 40 minutes). If I see anything, I'll post. I'm going for the 4 for $20 DVDs - probably grab About Schmidt, Dog Day Afternoon, Hearts In Atlantis and Falling Down.

I'd have to disagree with that. They probably have better offers because those stores don't get too many people going to them. Stores that are usually busy and have lots of customers without any special deals don't have to worry about having good deals or loss leaders since they get customers in anyway.

I go to the San Jose and surrounding Fry's alot... I think the problem is that its like going to a third world country where you cant get any help cause no one understands you. I hate going there but when they have good deals, Ill do it.

The cost of living in SJ is pretty high though, so they have to get a break somehow.

OK, I just got back and I didn't see anything above and beyond what was posted, but I did get:

Hearts In Atlantis
Dog Day Afternoon
Pale Rider (Eastwood Collection version)
Rio Bravo

The last two I have wanted for a long time! If this week wasn't such a big release week for me I'd go back and grab another four! I think it's Warner's attempt to liquidate their back catalog, low priced (usually $9.99) titles.

The San Jose stores get all the good deals since there are so many of them. There are 5 stores within 20 miles of where I live.

IN DFW:

Matrix Ultimate = 69.99
Matrix Ultimate LE (w/bust) = 119.99

according to the stickers on them.

They will probably will do a deal Wed/Thurs or some 1 day thing within the next week here -- if not in B&M then online. Yes, online prices are the same.
