Nice - and don't let any misguided employee tell you that a DVD falls in the "electronics or video games" category.

Thanks!

Right about now would be a good time to use your double Discover Rewards Certificates at Borders, if you got them.

Would DVD's not fall into the electronics category? I've never been able to use these coupons for their full value DVD's before.

Discover hasn't been doubling Borders cards for over two years now. You get $25 card for $20 of cashback bonus. While 20% is better than nothing it's not the double it used to be. In the best cases, the 20% makes it only as good as buying online (DDD, Amazon with STL) when you factor in sales tax.

I've always been able to get the full coupon discount for DVDs. I guess it depends on your store.

The OP's coupon is 25% and lasts until 11/22 so I think its a little better than the 20%/15% DVD coupon.

Thanks OP, picked up Sleeping Beauty for $21.10

I tried that today. They had it for $46 before the coupon. HArdly a deal as it can be found at other B&M for $35.

Anyone getting these to work on sale items? It never was a problem for me before, but now they're refusing (or their registers won't allow it).

no, it won't work on sale items, although if the 25% off the regular price is better than the sale price, you should be able to get that

I found the same thing the last time they had a 25% coupon (from the register receipt). For some reason, a 20% coupon can (usually) be used on a sale item, but the 25% one kicks it back to being taken off their regular selling price.

Yep. I turned $300 into $600 just before they stopped it.

But the 20% off coupon is also good at Waldenbooks. The 25% off is not. So for anyone that doesn't have a Border's, it's better than nothing...
