Best deal on Shawshank Redemption?

Ok, it didn't seem like ANYONE had a decent deal on Shawshank Redemption the first week it was out, but I was hoping that after a couple weeks at least one place would reduce the price.

Do any stores have it for less than 19.99? I even saw it for 24.99 at best buy today...rip-off.

TIA

Costco has it for 17.98.

That's the cheapest I've seen.

I looking for a cheaper price myself.

It was $15.99 at a couple places the first week. First weeks are always the best time to get them.

Blockbuster has it for $19.99. If you trade in an old DVD, you can get it for $11.99 (I traded in my last copy of WONDERBOYZ, I bought 4 when Target was selling them at 4 for $1.00-now I wish I bought more).

Additionally bestbuy.com is having a sale on WB special editions; buy 2 get $5 off. Their price is $19.99, so if you need another SE you can get it for a net price of $17.49.

Anyone???

First week - Target - $15.99. I got it the day it came out.

You snooze, you loose.

As I've seen, DVDs are usually lowest priced their first week, then they go up, sharply, and may never come down for years.

Threads like this are the reason I came here and the new ruling that there are to be no 'Best Deal' or 'Best Price' threads is counter intuitive. These threads exisit because there is a value to them, one can discuss several vendors and several methods of getting the best price on a release.

Please see this thread in the feedback forum and post your views on the change in policy at DVDTalk.

You could always wait for a store to advertise the orignal release and in the ad the SE 2 disc is shown. Its bound to happen. You might have to PM the ad at another store though. I got the 2 disc Lost Boys a while back form Sears for 9.99 and I'am pretty sure it was supposed to be for the orignal 1 disc release. Target is well known for doing this but usually they dont have the one pictured in the ad in the store, just the old release so you have to price match at another store.
